Hey guys, if you're currently in the market for a laser power meter, I'd like to sell two of my personal units.

The very first Kenometer Pro - working with Kenom, I designed and programmed the first prototype (this unit) which was the design that all the subsequent units were based off of. These have the Ophir 5 watt professional thermopile sensors and the meter itself has onscreen peak, average, and graph computation right on the unit - they also have datalogging for the PC with Luminosity. Since this was the first unit, it uses an external battery pack or AC adapter. I will include both with the unit.

If anyone is interested in buying this unit, I'll make sure it goes out loaded with the latest firmware. Condition is very good with some light scratches on the overlay consistent with normal use. Looking to get $350 shipped in the USA, $365 for international.

The other unit I have for sale is a Coherent 10 watt thermopile and amplifier board, configured to output 1mV per mW, all you need to do is add a power supply and a digital multimeter. Condition is very good, circuit board is a bit dusty. Looking to get $250 shipped in the US, $275 international. (board is large)

Feel free to message me for additional information or pictures if you're considering buying.

I've offered a compatible power supply to mario for the Coherent board that operates off mains. 120/220v. As well as a plug (computer PSU style) and a fuse holder and fuse to make the board more appealing and easier to assemble. I can also include a picture showing where the board can be cut down as well. There are other features on the board such as a driver, TEC controller, and such. I'll include pictures detailing what's what.

This is of course offered to him free of cost.

The psu has +/-12vdc and 5vdc so can be used to power a Panel meter as well. They were purchased specifically for these boards to power them AND a panel meter.

Sorry pictures too big to post, just follow the link and you'll see it.

How much do you want for just the Head on that board...
It would make the package a lot smaller to ship..

Do you have a clear focused pic of the active surface of the
Sensor ?

The front of the thermopile has some scratches (was like that when I got it) but the senor surface is very good.

If you want just the thermopile without the amp board, I can reduce the price to $260 shipped for international.

So the shipping costs aren't really that high due to the size of the board...

Nah.... that price reduction is a joke.... I see you're not really serious
to sell it to me. That's OK....I'll move on...

Those PCB's and head assemblies originally cost ~$34.00 off eBay.
I would have considered it with a profit for you of ~$130.00 but
>$220.00 profit is gouging just a bit... IMO.

Hope someone else pick it up... I don't need it for that price..
Thanks for the offer...

I offered you a 60% discount on shipping. A simple yes I accept your price or no I do not will do.

For me the biggest disadvantage would be the risetime of ~15 seconds from 0 to 90%, I'm used to the <1 sec of ophir thermopiles :)

You can't possibly be comparing a $119.99 complete
LaserBee 2.5W USB LPM
Thermal sensor's response
time with a $375.00 OPHIR Thermal Head ONLY....

There is a thing about comparing Oranges and Apples....

I suppose if your life depended on the additional 14 seconds
as a deciding factor I could see some logic in your statement..

So an Ophir thermopile costs $375 when one wants to compare it to your meters, but $34 when you're looking to buy one?

Jerry (perhaps I should call you Mr. Laserbee. It seems somewhat presumptuous to address you by your first name,) I'll admit, I like you for the most part. You're an asset to LPF, and I've learned a great deal just by reading your posts here. Your name usually comes up on the short list of folks who step up to help folks with their laser worries. You even volunteered your time in my own recent broken driver thread. You have my personal thanks.

With that said, when it comes to the business of buying and selling LPMs, you seem a bit . . . cutthroat. I can understand business and profit and all that jazz, but this isn't the first time I've seen you try to run down another member over LPM sales . I find it mildly unpalatable, to say the least, and such conduct only serves to tarnish an otherwise sterling and well-deserved reputation.

At least that's my take on it

Besides perhaps trying to TROLL.... or derail this Sale Thread...

What do your Quoted posts about New 5W OHPIR Heads discussed
in another Review Thread have to do with this Sales Thread about
an old used uncalibrated COHERENT Head with PCB.....:thinking:

This doesn't even have to do with LPMs.. but Thermopile Heads..
I'm sorry if this is mildly unpalatable for you...:cryyy:
(you could have PMed me with your issues like I just did)

Additional photos - let me know if you want to see anything specific. The onscreen GUI may look slightly different once the unit receives the firmware update.

You know..Jerry IS correct. Your price reduction is a joke..you offered a 60% shipping discount for him, but all he gets is the head itself? Thats basically no reduction at all...
