Re: FS $235 2.8w, & FS $290 ( The Scorcher ) 445nm 3.1w+ w/strobe

Greetings,

I just finished another build, this one is in a bronze MX900 host with laser module from DTR, G2lens, 4 mode driver set to 2.3a but uses a little different heatsink than my others. It has a 2 1/2 minute duty cycle and rock solid. Will be posting pics once there is more light......

cheers,
Moe

Greetings,

Maybe at some point there will be a 445nm running at 6w, but I am pretty sure will not be anytime soon.

cheers,
Moe

Responsible ,of age, folks who are looking for a really nice laser should definitely try Moe's builds. I really really like mine. This host is a great choice for such a beefy device. The four position switch is great. I think these lasers are a steal. The price is unbeatable and better than anything you can buy from retailers at less than half the cost.

But be careful. These babies are way powerful.

Plus Moe is a great guy to deal with. :)

Re: FS $235 2.8w, & FS $290 ( The Scorcher ) 445nm 3.1w+ w/strobe

Greetings,

Thanks for the kind words :thanks: and am happy to hear you are getting such enjoyment from it. I worked hard to make them rock solid with both a few features and a good power source. With the Mrcrouse heatsink it has great heat dissipation both for the laser module and the driver as it fits right into the heatsink, which also screws into the host. Makes it have far better heat transfer as opposed to being held in by the bezel. Also extremely easy to maintain if any part needs replacing. Only the leads to the diode are soldered as the driver is held in by the heatsink.
Safety is always a must when using any laser.
I do try to always do unto others as I would want. :worthy:

cheers,
Moe

Re: FS $235 2.8w, & FS $290 ( The Scorcher ) 445nm 3.1w+ w/strobe

Greetings,

Thought I would post a video of the way The Scorcher is engineered and how easy it is to work with.

I still have the 1 Scorcher and 1 in a bronze host, Scorcher Jr, as it does not have the Mrcrouse heatsink. It uses a smaller one that does not screw in and is held in by the bezel. It's duty cycle is a little less then The Scorcher and power is at 2.8w.
Hopefully will have a couple more ready by the end of next week or the following week.
Will post those when ready.....

cheers,
Moe

Re: SOLD, look for more next week ( The Scorcher ) 445nm 3.1w+ w/strobe

Greetings,

Just finished another Scorcher Jr. and this one is peaking at 2873mw and runs solid at 2.7w. Price is $235 including shipping, US and Canada, and paypal fees. Here's the LPM pic.

Have more parts on order and hopefully will have 2 full Scorcher's ready next week. Waiting on the heatsinks from Mrcrouse...

cheers,
Moe

Moe

Re: FS The Scorcher Jr. 445nm 2.7w+ w/strobe

Moe,

I'd like the Scorcher Jr. That you have for $235.00 (does this one have variable output/focusing?)
How much are batteries/charger, and any chance you have glasses laying around? Don't want spend the rest of my life walking around with a blind-stick. Haha.

New to the forums, any chance you could PM me with the details. I'd like to get this soon!

Re: FS The Scorcher Jr. 445nm 2.7w+ w/strobe

Greetings,

Yes it has both variable output and focus lens. As for batteries if you use the 18650 they are a little cheaper than the 26650. From $7 and up normally. I do also have safety glasses if they are needed.

cheers,
Moe
