Heres a correspondence I had with an unfortunate guy.... Thought id post it here for anyone thats interested.

               I did have him at about 7AM PST on phone the first time before he gave me the tone after realizing who I was. First it was "You must have a wrong number" I said remember me? HE said yes and hung up!!!! Know he sold it to somebody after repairing that  power button . Those soft ones on the top tend to get stuck. My new (3-17-08  95 mw Tech Laser Infiniti green laser doing same malfunction!!!  Seeing if Tech Lasers will fix or replace it as 3 month warranty ) Exact date of purchase at home on PC email!   Ordered a new one from there anyway as best price on that much power!  Apparently he thought I had too many and wouldn't miss one by not contacting me nor returning the laser!  If I Pay paled him 10.00 would just lose that 10.00  which we originally agreed to.  Even had 2 AAA Lithiums to test it with.

sif ur a meanie head, if you are watr am i, the hulk. i see something i don't like i fight about it. lol ie some one stole my spoon today, i almost broke his arm but he hit me so i was "seeing the red cloud"

Well It's funny when a prediction comes true. :)

I am sorry that you have been scammed by LoserBen. I have been around these forums longer than most of you and I know full well what he and a bunch of others are like.

You are all very quick to jump down Senkat's neck and accuse him of this or that, but there really is no substitute for experience.

Laser related forums have boomed recently and there is a great many new gullible people to rip off.

LoserBen and co have always tried to portray themselves as the elite in the laser world , with access to all the new stuff (cos Daddy apparantly has great contacts) and all the laser companies are falling over themselves to submit products for review.

The truth is, they would like to reel you into thier little dream, to make you think that you are in the elite, then just when you trust them .....Ohh I have been scammed.

Moral of the story: sorry you were ripped off, should have listened to the doubters that get flamed for trying to protect you.

The guy who got ripped off has never even heard of LPF before, so I doubt he had much chance protecting himself.

I too have had problems with LB enough to be pissed. I dont think he's a full out big time problem like good ol' tommygreen, but if someone compiles a list of a sizeable number of complaints, I'll get off my ass and have some of my friends in his area pay him/his parents a visit to discuss the situation. Don't wanna have to call in a favor like that unless we're dealing with a lot of $$ though, sorry.

That sucks. I just tried to sell my 15mw EVO to some guy, and he said it was broken when he got it, so he sent it back to me. I looked at the laser and there was no way the mail could have done that kind of damage, it was obvious that he had tried to mod it without success. So even though this thing wasn't as expensive as a 55mw, I know how it feels to get ripped off like that. I'd follow spyros advise and call the police. You have all of his info after all.
