This seems to be happening a lot lately....People are eager to hop on here and collect money from members, and then run into life problems...

If you read the whole thread you would see I did not even allow people to send me payments until they were done and then there was a snag. If you were having an issue with a host I would be the last person to come in and spread doubt or comment negatively in one of your threads. Theres a conflict of interest being another builder talking down on someones sale thread. Since this is text im sure this is coming off as more aggressive of a response than it was intended. I am not angry but I find it frustrating when I have already offered a full refund to anyone who requested and am doing all I can to juggle life and my hobby. With a $25 price tag and the amount of machining required I started this whole thing just trying to be a nice forum contributor.


On another note today I finally had some free time and got them all finished up and assembled. They are in bubble mailers and will be shipped tomorrow along with a gift for everyones patience. I appreciate everyones understanding. In the future I wont do preorders I just wanted to gauge the interest.

I started to make more of these to fill more of the list but my XY table broke :cryyy: so until I can find a new one I cannot mill the heatsink tray. If anyone wants one without the tray (like most other kits come) let me know because I have some made.


EDIT: RHD I sent you a PM about the status update but the refund is as always an option if you dont want it sent out tomorrow.

Damn sorry to hear about the XY table breaking too Do you mind sharing how many kits w/ heatsinks you have ready to go now? Seeing I have another 2 orders pending with you and these are currently limited - I'll pass on my 2nd order for 2 more to someone else who's ordered from you but would now have to wait for more heatsinks. In short, I don't need 4 of these if there's only 10 or something ready for the time being, give my other 2 to the next guy.

No not at all everyone who paid has been very patient and understanding. If it were not for you guys being patient I probably would have just refunded everyone and then melted the hosts and sinks down in order to cast a statue of Murphy to try and remedy the bad Murphys Law mojo I have been having.

I have all the paid orders full and then a few heatsinks with no tray machined and one heatsink thats mangled from being the one that broke my table! :yabbmad:

If anyone wants the mangled one it will work just fine and look fine assembled because it just chewed up one side of the inner heatsink. Assembled it would look and function like any other kit. If anyone wants that one id sell it with a host for $15.

In that case please keep my 2nd order valid. I just didn't want to hoard another 2 of them if it meant someone else missing out.

Brad I recieved my package this morning. Thess hosts and heatsinks look better in person than the pictures from the OP. I've been offline all day & can't share my own pictures right now, but I will when I'm back in my lab.

Until then, I just wanted to thank you again for taking the time, interest and effort with making these. I know this wasn't a simple, straightforward nor 'problem free' procedure, but if you do decide to get back into hostmaking anytime soon - - you most certainly have my support!

I can't wait to make a few builds from these & share the outcome with the forum :beer:

hey helios is my reservation for one of these gone. sorry its been a while since i checked back with you or this thread but car trouble plus other builds got in the way as i was waiting for these. I finished all the above and have 25 bucks to spare so i was wondering if i could FINALLY pick up one of these great hosts. (depending on availability.)
