I have up for sale my Optotronics (Optotronics Laser Products) RPL 450 532nm DPSS hand held laser. The laser peaks over 500mw and averages 488mw (based on documentation provided with the unit). I bought the laser in August 2012, initially for stargazing. Unfortunately, I have not had much time (if any) to use this awesome laser, which is why I'm selling it. I have turned the unit on around 10 times, and estimate that the diode has had less than 3 minutes of total use. It's essentially in brand new condition.
The laser has just gone past its warranty date, but to ensure its condition to any potential buyer, I have shipped it to Jack (owner of Optotronics) for inspection. He verified that everything works perfectly and is currently holding the laser for me. Once payment is received, Jack will ship the laser to the new owner. Since I have low post count, this arrangement was also made to alleviate any potential concerns from the buyer regarding my history.
As seen in the photos (I apologize for their quality - I took them with a phone), the laser will come with a foam-lined case, adjustable tail cap (never used, still in original bag), battery charger, one 18650 battery, all associated documentation (including power guarantee from Optotronics) as well as a safety key. Brand new I paid almost $1,300 for this laser. It's an amazing product, but due to me wanting to move it quickly and needing the money, I am now only asking $600 for it. This is a steal for such a top quality laser using the N-diode (North American diode, not Chinese)!
Shipping will be covered by me, and it will be 1-2 day service if shipped within the United States. Shipping overseas will depend on location, but I will pick a fast service as I want the laser to get in the buyer's hands asap.
