Is there a reason why you don't want to? It's extremely easy. When you put in the amount you're paying on the paypal site, you just select the type of currency you want to pay in. Paypal automagically makes the conversion, and shows you how much it will take from your paypal account in your own currency.

Then the recipient gets the funds in the proper currency.

Aside from just wanting to be a pita, I don't understand why someone wouldn't pay in the seller's requested currency.

Sorry if I sounded like a real jerk there. I was just really confused why you said you didn't want to send GBP instead of us dollars. Paypal makes it really easy to do all the conversions, and even informs you before you do it what the conversion rate is that they are using at that time.
