Ok, the problem is my parents do not allow me to buy more laser , but to exchange it for ferrofluid is no problem.

Hi there, I bought a laser from you a while back and it has performed wonderfully, though a friend told me that the batteries shipped with it (UltraFire 18350 3.7V 1200mAh) are rather unsafe, so I wanted to ask if there's any safe alternative to use? Thanks

the charger may want to be updated but the batteries are fine. there are not many options for 18350 or 16340. he may be confusing unsafe with not making proper claims. the mAh isnt as advertised but they are fine!

It does you just need to use magnets as spacers to make the 16340 work. That is the exact reason I love my nitecore i4 since I dknt have to worry about that stuff

Would this charger be safe(r) to use with the batteries than the standard UltraFire one? Will it even work? The batteries are not listed, but they should fit.

I think your friend means the li-ion technology behind the battery is unsafe.
These 18350 works just fine with the laser. They may be dead or lose power after a while but personally I have never had a problem with it.
You know that notebooks computers and smartphones use the same li-ion technology...
There are other 18350 batteries like AW18350 but they cost a lot more.

yeah you could buy that one if you like waiting FOREVER for DX shipping and want to OVER pay for something that may or may not be a genuine nitecore product OR you could go to illumination supply and pick one up for $15 :thinking:

Nah I trust you guys, if you say they're find then it's fine with me. What my friend meant was that they were unprotected and could potentially overcharge and cause lots of trouble. And thanks for the link Livinloud! I'll order one of those then, I've read a lot of positive feedback on the Nitecore
