Well I got the 2.1W+ in the mail about an hour ago. I put in the batteries after I figured out which way they go and walla its a beautiful monster!!!. I put the batteries to charge now because I have a feeling they werent very charged. Will the little red light turn green when they are done?

BTW, I love it, its amazing, and it can focus really well. Thanks Blord

That is right. When the LED on the charger turns green then the batteries are fully charged.

Red LED --> charging
Blinking LED --> almost done
Green LED --> ready

Turns out that there just was an update to the tracking saying "item information registered abroad". I'm not sure what that means. Do you think you could enlighten me =p

It means the laser is still underway. They have regain the tracking. :)

Question, are there disposable batteries of any sort I could use in my laser? My charger broke and I'd really like to use the laser before the new charger comes. (got a few events I'd love to use the laser at with my friends).

CR123 are the same size as 16340's. iirc they are roughly $12 for a 2 pack in grocery stores/cvs. camera stores will carry them as well and may or may not be more expensive. only thing w/ a CR123 is most are 3V so look and see if you can find a 3V, not sure if Blord's build can run off 2x 3V or not so you'd have to wait on his response.

Ok so I have a few questions. I received my laser today. Everything looks good I charged the batteries to full. The green light came on. I put the batteries in the laser and it works. But the first time I turned it on there was a electrical smell I turned it off. I only had the laser on for 2-3 seconds just to make sure it was functioning. I took out the batteries and inspected everything and it looks fine. I put them back in and it no longer is making that smell is that normal? Also when I first turn on the laser it is exteamly bright for a split second and then it seems to be normal. I'm not sure how bright it should be or if there was some sort of issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Everything is brandnew. When the driver is heated up you can smell some burn but it will go away.
The laser should be working normal. I have run the laser for 1 minute on my LPM.
Maybe some pictures will help.

When I get home from work I will test it out. It should be able to burn a sheet of white paper correct? If it is focused correctly of course. It just dose not look as bright as the first time I turned it on. If I take a picture will you be able to tell if everything is normal?

I know this may be a stupid question. But there was no instructions on what direction to put the batteries. I have the positive end facing the diode. Is that right??

Yes hypert the positive thing goes to the diode. The negative to the buton.

Ok I just wanted to make sure that it was not somthing I did incorrectly. I'm still wondering what I need to take pictures of so blord can verify that everything is ok.

the host alone? HERE, most are full flashlights but they also sell just the host.
