^same thing can be said for US laser sellers, and it is a fair thing to saw, because if the country laser is being shipped to have laws in place, then it is solely on buyers to know their local laws. Which is also holds true for, US citizen buying laser from outside of the USA.

The same will be applied to rhd's builds, whom you just implicated. Furthermore, nobody on this forum covers confiscation by customs. Finally, none of my packages to the US have ever been confiscated.

Note to buyers: I can implement various ways to pass my builds as legal.

Yeah - I realize that rarely anyone talks about customs guarantees. However, most people sell lasers FROM the US TO the US. It doesn't have to pass through customs, so there is about 0% chance of confiscation. And I am sure Jayrob, DTR, Angelos, rhd, and especially I, would replace or refund in the event a laser didn't get to the buyer.

It is the seller's responsibility to get the laser to the buyer.

Yes, I will make sure my buyers will receive their product. If there's any concerns of customs, I will assist them in various ways to provide a safe, legal parcel to pass through customs.

"Compared to 95% of the market" Which market are you comparing yourself to? You can't compare to a professional company like Jetlasers or CNI lasers, because you are not one. You've got to compare yourself to other hobbiests and the prices they sell their lasers at (in which, yours are WAY more expensive)

My prices are cheaper than a huge majority of the laser market. I work with individual customers to provide the best build for them, and my prices are guaranteed cheaper than commercial retailers like Wickedlasers or Dragonlasers, etc. Great lasers with true outputs at great prices, guaranteed.

Stop spouting that -.- That's what all builders here do. You have no reason to charge a vastly greater price than they do just because you have a "pro shop" (which isn't even that).

Did you not read my above post? You are not a company. You cannot compare yourself to a company. You are a hobbiest and you should compare yourself the hobbiest market. Any seller here could claim to sell lasers cheaper than a company.

As I said, I've been on the sidelines quietly building for fellow friends as well as other places for the past month. I've invested over $1500 in this service and weeks of research in preparation for this service. A lot has changed since then, and all my builds, except the new ones, have loads of experience on them. I would never sell a half-assed build to a customer.

Something tells me that due to your intense vigilance against Ryan that you're either A) Worried he'll steal your sales, and you just can't handle that, or B) You're having a REALLY bad day. If you think his prices are high, then they're high, and he won't get any sales, and this thread will fizzle out and that will be the end of it. @Ryan - I'm not really all too worried about selling the Copperhead. I've sold plenty of builds - enough that I am a reputable seller here. That's why I haven't lowered the price any further. I am content to keep it before I let it go for less.

@Bloom - I am not going to be selling all too many builds in the future anyway. I am a bit worried about the FDA knocking on my door like they did to Moh for selling lasers. That's why I have my BlitzBuck entering mass production soon (already sold 20 boards) - so that I can pay for my laser hobby.

Point is, we have a lot of people here who just look on the B/S/T forums and are sort of noobish when it comes to pricing on parts. They see WL offering things for $1k, and they're like, wow, this guy is selling something for only $300? That's a steal! When in reality, he is ripping them off just as hard.

I don't want to see a bunch of people get ripped off, which will happen because Ryan is using rather... amoral tactics to attract buyers away from the more reputable and reliable sellers (again - not talking about myself - I haven't built a laser explicitly for sale in a while). Most buyers will assume that, because Ryan has a "pro" shop, he must be very experienced, have great prices, etc. He talks about top-quality things, and custom machined heatsinks, implying they are specially made.

He is acting like a business does, and this forum is not for that. If you want to run a business, open up a thread in the Companies Section or buy an ad. This is a hobbyist forum as it should be.

That's why I am "butt-hurt." He is attempting (and succeeding) at profiting off of hobbyists for seemingly pure profit-based reasons.

@gif: I get frustrated at people ripping others off. Like I said - I am not really selling lasers anymore. This isn't part of my income :P It's a hobby to me - I have a real job.

It seems like duration means the world to you. I worked my butt off in time and money for experiment builds and research into my offerings. I can be here for years and build a laser once a month and that would look "experienced" to you.

I went overdrive for 3 weeks, yes. If you knew how hard i worked to prep for this, you wouldn't be saying all of this. It is evident enough as it is, how I set up my shop, did not occur overnight.

No one will get ripped off. They will get much better, more powerful, and better priced lasers than the majority of the market. Plus, each customer can fit their own needs with their own choice of build options I am not Wicked Lasers and will never be. Like I said, I work with each customer to give them the best build for their budget. This is not just a store, it's a unique service.

Fair enough Ryan, I do not know how hard you have worked to set this up and I do not know your level of experience with building lasers, you could have built 10 in that 3 week window for all I know. My apologies. However, my other points still stand.

@gif I would appreciate it if you would refrain from personal attacks. This is serious discussion and calling other people 12 year olds because you do not agree with their opinion is indicative of you not being able to support your argument and have to resort to insults to back up your points.
