Hey sinner,

how much extra for a JAD kit set to 2.2amps,? so far ive only seen the price for the bare host, also does the button come installed on both JAD kits and bare hosts? with the JAD kits what type of driver is it and does it come with a battery pill?

In that case, You wouldnt get the optimal performance out of the heatsink.. But it does make things easier..

@Will: I don't have any JAD kits left , Just the hosts, With switches installed yes..

How much for a 3.5W completed laser in dark grey or black?

Absolutely not! A set screw, if visible, would kill the look of this host. So what if it requires some extra work? With custom beauty like this comes custom difficulties. It's up to us builders to work it out.

How the hell could you anodize this beautiful hunk of polished aluminum and make it black?? Go buy a freakin Rick Trent laser if you want something boring and like everyone else's.

Will, if you're looking for a JAD kit, I'm sure I could put something together for you with Sinner's SSW and a driver of your choice. What did you have in mind?

Keep in mind that high powered buck drivers are hard to find ATM.

Thanks for the offer ;) how much may i ask for the JAD kit, the driver i had in mind is an x-driver set to 2.2 amps,

i mainly prefered the JAD kit because i thought that it would be easier to work with and simply add a 9mm diode, if i ended up just buying the host would a rectangular x-drive incoporate easily into the host and would the bare host come with a battery contact board?

The host does come with a plastic "contact board" in the pill, which is plenty large for an X-Drive...if you can find one. I need a lead on these drivers badly!

PM me if you're interested in something put together for you. I can prepare a JAD kit for you with the driver of your choice...if it can be found.

DTR sells the x-drives with the 9mm diodes as an option. If you PM him you
can ask him to leave it off of the diode and send them as separate pieces.

thanks for the advice :) ive already got a better offer with lazereer as far as the driver ;)

no problem ;) thankyou very much for the offer, although since you've had a hard time finding a driver ive already pm'ed lazereer and hes going to get back to me :D since cliff closed his store its been difficult to find drivers of any kind :( lazereer told me that someone else will be taking over the selling of his drivers, not sure whether thats news or whether its meant to be confidential :tinfoil:

Thanks, Isaac. Does he still sell them at such a premium when they're not attached? That's the only reason I don't usually consider them. But, with the Blitzbuck gone for now, I suppose there's little choice.

Love my first gen. These look fantastic. Maybe ill have to get the set of three. The GITD needs a big(gen2), and little(stubby) brother. Can't wait to see the builds guys.
And as for Sinner..........nothing to say that hasn't been said buddy. Great job once again.

Well thank you, It's been a pleasure I've tried my best to create a sensing for customized hosts that are designed as thorough as possible.

I'll probably not be able to fulfil the request on the "Stubby" atm there is only a last one and someone just reserved it, pending payment. I'll soon be completing remaining work on the 5th version though. :D
