Just a suggestion, since you don't appear to have much soldering experience, you should really opt for the pre-built ones. Surface mount is not something you want to try unless you're proficient with regular through-hole soldering.

If you're still insistent on trying, I recommend using solder paste and a blunt tipped syringe.

Glad you read up on it... Very good idea to use Rosin
Core solder... You should do fine...

But if you are not a proficient in soldering...
I would suggest practicing on some old PCBs..

I am amazed. Raybo has a super soldering iron for sale on this forum and this question keeps coming up. Look down this thread for the soldering iron. People -- READ here. $50 damn bucks for a super iron and we get more redundant questions asked over and over, forever. Someone out bid me.
Stop asking questions about how to solder. You need a precision iron. Here it is.

HEY GUYS --- This is electronics and someone wants to use sewer pipe solder :-(
Get with the science and get the tools needed. A good iron, solder and other tools are needed. NO, You can't Glue connections together.

Hey Reaper2164...

Do Not..... I repeat... DO NOT use Acid Core Solder for Electronics
assembly... It will corrode your Solder Joints in time...
It is meant to solder Sheet Metal that does NOT have a current running
through it....

@ HM.... He is asking about SOLDER not a Soldering Iron...;)

LB --

Good point. He is using sewer pipe alloy with ACID flux. OMG -- how many times do we have to tell them? Soldering is an art - like painting.
$h!t ---- I give up.
