I stope buying the M140 diodes I went through 72 and all I could was around 1.5W with g1 lens some 1.8 to 1.9W I get a lot more 2w diodes from the a140-
that is at 1800ma that is why I thought my LPM was reading low ,but I tested to dtr and it was about the same

Are you sure you dont have the M and A diodes in the wrong order in your above reply?

no $800 for the casio m-140 so after 3 I stopped trying to get a 2w. I took the amps to 1900ma and could not get more power what is the max amps guys are running them at?

i'm actually a big fan of the X-Drive. It's made my a forum member and an outstanding driver, but cant wait to see what DTR reports with your driver.

From a buyer's and former web designer's perspective:

Enough with the videos for things like heatsinks, drivers, etc. It's too time and bandwidth consuming for your customers to have to deal with.

Give us many more and better photos of your products, lpm data logs, etc.

Give us better descriptions of the items offered.

Let go of the proprietary nature of your products. It gives the feeling of inability to customize, swap parts, all the Apple v. PC arguments over 30 years.

MORE DATA! Can't emphasize this enough. The "my secrets" quip with your T-1 lens left a bad and incredulous taste in my mouth, and it seems that it was with good reason.

Shipping dirty lenses??

Nuf said. Good luck in everything. I look forward to what you have to bring to the hobby and the forum.

Well I just placed my order with rick on a 1W red laser, and from talking to him on the phone my first impression was very good. He is a very kind seller, I shall review his laser as soon as it comes in.

I read the review on made by Dave and even if it wasn't "perfect" it was good enough for me, and the price cant be beaten.

Agreed. I have a few of Rick's lasers and spoken a few times on the phone and find him to be a great guy. He is honest and stands by his work. I am sure you will be very happy with your laser. :gun:

I recently purchased my 3rd RT laser.

Rick is great guy and will offer you some degree of custom building.
He has the Highest powered lasers .......makes most of my 2.2- to 2.7 watt DIY lasers seem weak.

I can attest to torture testing one unit a 3.17 watt that I ran every day , 5 pr more times a day for 3 minutes or more each time. After 3 months of this it finally LED'd on a hot day. ( this was a unit I dropped and it still LPM'd in the 2.7- 2.8 right before she LED'd)

It was the 5 mode driver, I believe set at 2.2 (when I switched lenses to a single element all I got was 2.3-2.4 ish watts) and the heatsink was the Original first batch aluminum sink.

Sorry my laser vocabulary is in its infancy. I can say that I was very cruel to the unit I dropped , and it got Hot every time I ran it. I'd say I ran it aproximately 30 minutes a day for about 90 days. ( perhaps more than 30 minutes per day.......I was amazed it was lasting so long so I really pushed the unit)

As I won't be repeating this , I can't comment on his newer heatsink design.

Where else are you gonna get a 3.2 watter 445 that can handle that kind of abuse for under 280 dollars?. I would think a high powered RT laser should be in everyones collection. ( It did loose a few hundred mw after the "impact event")
