could be just the power supply on the display . some times there is a fuse in the display power supply . you have to open the display to change it . sometimes you can see it from the back thru the vent holes

I can't let something this potentially valuable get away. I'll take the time to look it over myself and if I can't find anything will spend the money to get it repaired if that is whats needed from a professional television repairman.

If you look at the ebay auction, you'll see he won it for a cent, and it's within Montana, I suspect Ken just drove to pick it up, skipping shipping costs.

Anyways, I really don't think it's all that valuable.. You can get a 42" flat screen for under $1000 these days that has a much better picture quality than that plasma... If you can find a way of fixing it for a hundred or two bucks, sure, it's worth keeping, but I'd like to point out it's 480p!!!... My laptop, with its 12" screen, has twice as many pixels as that TV.

Ha! that's probably when it first came out. Hell, I don't care what resolution it is. Would go in my kids room and his wii hooked up to it so I don't have to fight him for the television when it comes time to watch stargate universe.

The Wii runs at 480p anyway, the difference in quality wouldn't be noticable when compared to a higher-res one. If you can't see a blown fuse or any other obviously-burnt out components, I doubt that it is worth trying to fix it any further. A new controller board will be hard to find, and even then you don't know if it is the board or panel at fault.
