Re: T_Warne AKA Ludwig Van is a SCAMMER

I acted rashly and became just like Jake. It embarrass me that I allowed him to frustrate me to this end.
He will get his sleds back. As I stated, this isn't about the sleds, but more about my ever increasing frustration that resulted from trying to get Jake to fix the broken LaserBee he sold me, refund my money from the failed 6x GB, and then since he wouldn't refund me that money try and get him to actually put  5 PHRs in the mail instead.

 I am in the process of finding a go-between to help facilitate the return of Jake's PHRs.

I apologize to the upstanding members here. But I still harbor great animosity toward "JAKE the SNAKE."

I will post PM and email examples so that all may see why I am sooo damn frustrated with this kid.
( of course, names and addresses of those not directly involved will be censored out. ;) )

This made no sense, but expalined exerything

This email was the straw that broke the camels back. In it he admits that the "replacement" package was actually the first package he put in the mail. ( 9101 1288 8230 0664 4541 49 )

If this is the case, why would he intentionally send me my original order the very next day? ( 9101 1288 8230 0658 9312 05 )

Jake,
Have you sent my 5 PHR sleds and $2.50 yet? I see that you have printed out a shipping label, but the tracking information  says:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Label/Receipt Number: 9101 1288 8230 0658 9312 05
Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received
The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on March 28, 2009 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In comparison, the tracking information for Dxxxxn says
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Label/Receipt Number: 9121 1501 3471 1618 9716 60
Associated Label/Receipt:
Detailed Results:
Bullet Notice Left, March 30, 2009, 1:17 pm, Uxxxx, CA 91786
Bullet Arrival at Unit, March 30, 2009, 8:28 am, Uxxxx, CA 91785
Bullet Processed, March 27, 2009, 8:39 pm, TOLEDO, OH 43601
Bullet Electronic Shipping Info Received, March 27, 2009
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So, what's the deal?

   Yes, that you used my PayPal transaction to ship something to someone else. That was very confusing and appeared to me like you accidentally/intentionally shipped my PHrRs to the wrong address.

   Remember this?
   ~~~~~~~~~
   "now I'm totally confused. What is this about? and who is Dxxxx Gxxx? Why are you shipping something to him and sending me email about it?
   If this is about the PHRs that I want... it seems that you are shipping them to Dxxxx Gxxx and not me.
   Please let me know what is going on."
   ~~~~~~~
   If you had taken the time to read my email and answer my questions then I probably would have understood. All that I wanted to know was that you have shipped me the 5 complete PHR sleds and the $2.50 that you owe me. A tracking number showing that a package was on its way to my address would have sufficed.

   Instead you told me nothing of any value. You gave me no explanation, no facts, and gave me no tracking information that showed my address.

   This whole situation could have been avoided if you would have just TOLD ME WHAT WAS HAPPENING. That is all that I wanted.

    When USPS - Track & Confirm  shows that they have received the package and it is on it's way, I will up date my post. I will let everyone know that it was just a mistake and everything is OK. Then when I actually receive the 5 PHRs I will update it again and let everyone know fast they got to me. As long as are no more suprises, everyone will think that you are a good guy to do business with. I'll tell them that you sell good sleds at good prices.

   So... don't worry about it. Everything is COOL.

 You telling me 1000 times that "everything is cool means" nothing to me. You giving me details about what is actually happening and answering my questions so that I really know what is going on would satisfy me.

 I asked you very specific questions and I get vague answers that tell me nothing.

still trying to get answers

It was only after the following correspondence that the "replacement' package showed that it had been received at the post office. I can only guess, but at the time of his reply he probably still had the package in his possession... how else would he be able to photograph them. In all fairness, he might have taken the pictures before he dropped the package off, but it isn't very likely. I doubt he has that much foresight

Your pictures of the shipping label mean absolutely nothing. It just shows that you printed it out this time.

We'll talk again on the 4th.

   Jake,

   So, what you are telling me is that you have actually put not just one, but TWO packages in the mail, addressed to me, that contain 5 PHR sleds each? You honestly expect me to believe that you have sent me 2 separate packages of 5 phrs each? 10 PHRs?!!! There is no proof that you have even put one package into the mail yet.

   When did you put this "second" package in the mail? Today while you were out?
   Did you hand it to a post office employee, or just drop it in the slot?
   Is this the tracking information for it?
   http://trkcnfrm1.smi.usps.com/PTSIn...nquiry.do?origTrackNum=9101128882300664454149

   If you are really telling me the truth, then tonight the tracking information should update showing that the package has been received.

   If the Track & Confirm page does not update, OR if I fail to receive a package of 5 complete, new and undamaged PHR sleds from you by April 4th I will be forced to file a PayPal dispute and write a full review of our interactions using our email correspondence to show everyone what dealing with you is really like.

   Sincerely
   T Warne

the LaserBee fiasco

First I want to make it abundantly clear that it was Jake who sold me a LaserBee that he later admitted he damaged with a 6x.
Jerry was only involved to help negotiate the cost of repairs.

If I had purchased it directly through Jerry I wouldn't be in this mess.

Jake finally did pay me $100 to cover the repairs, unfortunately for me I had to pay the $33 to ship it internationally.  :mad:

Jake, I'm really confused. Please explain to me what you are doing? Do I understand you correctly that you have my 5 PHR sleds ready to go, but what is the deal with the money order and PayPal? How much are you sending by money order? How much by PayPal.

Thank you for helping me understand this complex transaction.

   Jake

   If you would rather pay me some of the $160 in sleds, I'll take 5 PHR-803T. (complete sleds.. I like to optics ) That would come to $57.50 and mean that you would only owe me $102.50.
   Please let me know how you want to take care of it.

   Thanks,

                                   BUT
                                   that is not what is happened. You did not refund me $200. If you want to do it that way GREAT! Refund me the money and I will ship the defective meter that you sent to me back to you.
                                   OR
                                    you could just issue me a partial refund of $110 and I will send Jerry the meter AND pay for the repair myself.

                                   Please don't make this into a problem. All I want is a working LaserBee, or a full refund.
                                   I almost forgot about the $60 I paid you for the 6X. What is the status of that? Will you ship me a SF-AW210?

Jake has a difficult time with the truth

Throughout the negotiation to get the Laserbee fixed Jake was telling me one thing and telling Jerry another.

Unfortunately what you are telling Jerry and what you are telling me doesn't match. You specifically told him that you refunded me my money! He is under the impression that the meter is no longer mine, that you refunded my money and I gave it back TO YOU.

Here is what Jerry emailed me
~~~~~~~~~~~
I gave Jake a cost to repair and re-calibrate his LaserBee I + Thermopile plus Insured
Shipping back to him... this past week.. and he agreed to the price and... as far as we
understood ...he is sending the unit back to us... That is the Last I heard...
I understood that Jake was going to refund you... I would do that...
If I were you... I would choose another trusted LPF member as a middleman to ship the
LaserBee I to... until Jake's refund was in your hands... then the middleman would ship
the LaserBee I to Jake... Don't let Jake talk you into sending the Defective LaserBee I that
HE sold you to us directly... unless you have the Refund in hand...
regards,
Jerry Bauer pres.
Due to the excessive confusion regarding the repair of the damaged LaserBee, I thought it best that we all "got on the same page."
***
I want to state myself clearly.
   The fact of the matter is that the damaged meter now belongs to me. I'm sending it to you, Jerry, and since you can't send it back to me until you are paid for your work, it is my responsibility to make sure that you get paid in a timely manner.
In short, I pay you, and Jake reimburses me.
The actual cost for the repairs will be:
$30.00 to re-coat the Thermopile Sensor
$50.00 to re-calibrate a LaserBee I PCB
$30.00 for return shipping to the USA from Canada with Insurance
------------
$110.00  US Dollars
   Jake,  I am very happy that you and I were able to work this out.  I understand that because you do not have the entire $110 immediately available, you have agreed to reimburse me in a few installments. You also agreed that you will have paid me back in full (the entire $110) as soon as Jerry has finished his repairs.  I find this arrangement more than acceptable.
(Jake, if I am wrong about any of this, or misunderstood you in some way... please correct me so that I can better understand your intentions.)
I need to ship the LaserBee (insured) through United States Postal Service only to:
J.BAUER Electronics
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxx
Canada
Thank you, both, for bearing with me. It is unfortunate that this issue became so convoluted.
Sincerely,
TW
Re: T_Warne AKA Ludwig Van is a SCAMMER
To conclude,
Jake does sell great sleds at cutthroat prices and his service is usually extraordinarily fast. All of my transactions with him in the past have been exemplary... until things went wrong. He sold me a damaged LaserBee and I had to wrestle the money for repairs out of his grubby little hands. I paid in advance for his 6x group but, but when it failed he no longer had the money to pay me back. In an attempt to recoup that loss I negotiated 5 PHRs and a $2.50 refund. The $2.50 was easy, but getting him to put the sleds in the mail took consistent "reminding" and finally the threat of a PayPal dispute and negative feedback.
I am looking for a neutral intermediary to handle the return of Jakes sleds.
PM me if you are willing to get involved. Thanks in advance to the brave soul that volunteers.
I also want to apologize to Jerry for pulling him into the vortex that IS dealing with "Jake the Snake".
And to all the good members of this forum for subjecting you to all this dirty laundry.
yours truly,
T warne
I did my best to sterilize everything, but if anyone finds any personal information that I missed and needs to be removed, please let me know and I will  censor it immediately.
