Thanks for the link. However, I'm looking for at least OD 5 for 650nm, like the one sold by WL. This is to prepare for upcoming 200mW Red from Senkat :)

I'm looking for Red laser goggles, around $35 to $40 shipped...

Hello Bernhard,
If you can get a deal on a pair of wicked laser shades, I think you would be happy. Some red goggles block out so much you can't even see the dot. Otherwise, please know what you are buying, if you know what I mean.

I definitely recommend the lasershades over the sport elite goggles that Wicked sells - especially for red.....the sport elite do block it out entirely ! You cannot even see a faint glow - wherever the dot is.

The lasershades are not OD 5+, they are, from what I hear, closer to the 2-3OD range. The WL sports elites were OD 5+ and it was overkill, you couldnt' see the dot at all, period, and that made the laser even more dangerous to use. For a 200mW laser though, OD 2-3 should be more than adequate protection.

However, I would probably steer clear of those $38 goggles posted above. SenKat has posted a few times about the seller's horrible business practices. The worst thing would be to get goggles you think are protecting you, when they really aren't.
