Hi,
I just tried to download peregrine for my macbook from Radiant Electronics but I am having trouble. When I open the program, I am prompted to move it to the trash because the file is "damaged." I tried redownloading, with the same result. Anyone know if there is a problem with the download file, or could it be a mac problem?

Thanks for the help, it's an awesome lpm!

This should work :)

1) Open System Preferences
2) Open Security & Privacy
3) Go to the General Tab
4) Change the "Allow applications downloaded from:" setting to "Anywhere"

Any ETA - I'm rubbish at waiting :) Don't give me enough time to talk myself out of getting one :)

How about leaking some juicy details seeing as we're so close to it being announced (I hope!)

I have been sick for the past week or so which unfortunately was the last full time days I had to work on this. I'll be able to give a better estimate when I can get back to it.

Hi ARG, Hope you're well again? How's the new LPM going? I get the feeling you're the kind of guy that won't allow this LPM to be released until all the creases are ironed out - which is great for us as we are sure to get a great LPM! Wishing you luck in completing it.

It's taken me a lot longer to recover than I thought, I had a bad case of pneumonia and even after I felt well enough to go back on schedule I could only put in 8-10 hours a day because I tired really fast.
I haven't been able to work on these as much as I would like, but I'm finally starting to feel back to normal.

I've got all of them built now, they're just awaiting calibration.

It's not going too well at the moment, it keeps getting delayed. Things that are out of my control keep getting in the way. :(

I will update when I have a better idea of how much longer it will be.

The X4's will not be back in stock, but the newer model will be here in June.

Anybody know how accurate the new ones will be with lower powered lasers?

All thermal LPM's (even professional ones) perform poorly at lower powers. (0mW - 20mW)

That being said, these perform pretty much the same at low powers.

They do have additional shrouding around the sensor area to help prevent environment caused errors.

I want one as soon as one is available! I have been looking for a decently priced LPM for a long time and everytime one comes up I am too slow to snatch it up.

Any estimate on ship dates?

They will be shipping around early June.

@H2O

Here's some more info on the shroud, the head has a back plate and a front plate, the front plate protects the sensor area, similar to how an Ophir head works.

@joeybab

The price will be around $150 give or take.
