It will only stop the standard remote from sending any control codes
to the TV.
It will not turn the TV "ON" and "OFF".

well that would be fine but i could never make that kind of driver :-[

IR flashlight won't work... the beam needs to be modulated for the
TV's IR receiver to see it. ;)

yea and i want a nice one, where i dont have to be up on the tv for it to work lol

SO basically using any ir diode wont work, you need that circuit to send confusing signals?


Is there a way to just mod a preexisting remote to send out a constant confusing signal by modding its circuit that is already in place.
