Hello, everyone. This is Gray.

In response to a few inquiries about this Portable D(webpage: ¤Jetlasers Portable D Waterproof and focusable Lasers Pointers- JetLasers ) at our website and it's apparent that they resemble much the CNI portable M model, or the Spartan at Dragonlasers. Yes, they're just the CNI PL-M model, while the only differences are the added focusable and waterproof features.

I feel obliged to make it clear that THIS LASER MODEL IS DEFINITELY NOT A JETLASERS PRODUCT.:shhh: though Jetlasers did a bit work making it a focus adjustable and waterproof laser(not for diving)

This upgrade was only urged by one of a domestic client who urgently asked for dozens of a middleweighted portable 18650 powered green laser while the prerequisites are the focusable head and water resistant feature, so one of our workmen resort to this PL-M CNI model. We purchase a few online(2 expensive) for test and modification.

SO you can just call it a CNI laser or DIY laser; I believe a lot of you guys here can do this job as well, if not better. We just have the laser head redesigned making the laser beam adjustable. Then we added some o rings to the focusing mechanisum and tailcaps to make it more waterproof tight.

And all the other components are made by CNI. The CNI PL-M laser is also sold at a huge price here in China eshops. Plus the remachining cost, the focusable PL-M becomes not cost-effective at all. Fortunately, all considered, they're still a lot LESS expensive than the Spartan ones. so I sort out a best pricing for the stocked ones here:

The following is the pricing for the available ones in our stock.
50mW: 195 $
100mW: 265 $
200mW: 450 $

Shipping : DHL/UPS: 20$, with a 18650 charger. We will add a 15$ alumi alloy carrying case.

This quotation is not posted to beat the dragon or spartan lasers but we hope everyone here in LPF who look forward to a cni laser at a more affordable price can get one easier.

This is simply a upgraded version of a classic portable and We're not going to make more unless upon request. We'd better save more time and money on making our own laser models. So the product page is subject to deletion without notice. :fightin:

Thanks for your time reading this post and good luck with you. :)
PM me if you have any question.

Sincerely,
Gray from JETLASERS.

Folks, you know what that means.

CNI stuff at great price and custom work done, not avaliable anywhere else.

Gray is also an excellent person to communicate with , if I so may boldly state, and their stock is very limited.
Get while you can.

CNI doesn't even make them in >200mW, why would a reseller have them at more than twice the max rated power CNI makes?

I didn´t checked, but as you know, CNI often sells to resellers stuff that they don´t sell to normal endusers!

Is the IR filter still in place?
Also, what is the beam diameter at the aperture?
Would you mind showing us a picture of the "business end?"

I really can't see any benefit of making it water resistant and focusable.
But good job. It looks like a clean modification.

I could be wrong but there were some videos on their website where you could see those lasers working along with prototypes of those "Titanium" ones, which are not yet for sale. Or something like that.

Hi DJNY,
Sorry there are only 50-200mw ones. I guess the structure of this model cannot stand that much power. It certainly has a poorer heat transferability, otherwise I guess Cni would have made more higher powered ones.
We only make 500mw or higher powered 532nm with PL-C model.

Thanks. :)

Thank you Eudaimonium.
Though I cannot say how great the modification are done coz there are always something to be improved to make it better, but due to the time and other costs, we might not go further.

It might not be available anywhere else SO FAR. :yh:

Hi RA_pierce,
Thanks for your comment and the beam diameter is around 2mm at aperture and no revision was made to change this spec.
It will be nice if you explain a little about what you meant by "business end". :)

Yes, it might be dull to make it water resistant and focusable, but it was requested by a local client. And I believe it's nothing bad to have an additional focus adjustable feature, at least people don't have to go to 5 or 10 meters farther to check the beam profile, and it might easier burn things with an adjustable focus. While the good of the waterproof feature is self-apparent; people can use it with more Freedom in humid or rainy conditions.

By "business end" I meant the aperture side.
Sorry about that, it is an expression used... here it generally refers to
"The part of a weapon or tool, usually at the front, that inflicts damage or performs work.":D

Now that I think of it, perhaps this client intended using it as an outdoors "signaling device?"
It would seem that those would be the two important features for such a tool.

Is there a warranty offered on these (assuming the manufacturer's warranty is void due to modification)?
