Another laser for sale, this one is going to be a steal for anyone. Regardless of which lens you pick for host I will be losing money either way by selling this, but need to clear some lasers and generate some income to get me through this semester. The laser up for sale probably has a total time of usage less than 10 minutes, so basically brand new. The laser is a 635nm Mitsubishi 500 diode, in a SolarForce L2P host. This diode is multimode, which means instead of a pinpoint dot, you will have a small line, but in my opinion this is a nice change. The beam is incredibly bright (and thick), producing a bright red, almost orange color. The host as mentioned is a SolarForce L2P host in black, custom modified for a laser by JayRob. The host was very expensive, because of both its uniqueness and its quality. Before I continue any more, here are the components of the laser:
Power: 500mW with a 3-elment lens / 763mW with a G-2
Host: SolarForce L2P host in black w/ custom crown on top
Diode: 635nm Mits 500 Diode
Driver: Flexdrive thermally mounted in heatsink (set @ 1026mA)
Lens: Choice of 3-element glass lens or G2 lens (add $40 for G-2 lens)
Battery: 1x 18650 battery
Price: $150 (with 3-element) or $190 (with G-2)
Shipping: $5 if shipped in the USA (international shipping varies)
When you purchase the laser, its your choice whether you want the 3-element or G-2 lens, as you see the G-2 gives you a considerable increase in power. The laser has a fair amount of weight to it so it feels solid, but small enough to fit in your pocket if you wanted to. The heatsink is as large as it can be for the host, so the dury cycle of the laser seems to be fairly long. Being on for a few minutes the laser doesn’t get too warm.
