Price of argon

What would be a reasonable price to pay for a 4W Agron laser with 476nm, 488nm and 514nm lines and a Polychromatic Acoustic-Optical Modulator with selectable 528/496nm output line, and individual analog control for the three other wavelengths?

Uhm, 100 billion dollars!

I found this beast on ebay.de...if you are interested...2.5w Model 2017 Spectra Physics Multi-line, so thats got the first part covered, the acoustic isolater ion flux pulse drive ? you'd be better of asking someone like frothychimp.


...the argon is 4k euro though, so a bit expensive? You can get it down probably a bit as its been on ebay.de for quite some time...maybe give him an offer?

Hmm thousands is not what I was hoping for. That one also looks a lot bigger than what I had in mind.

I found this ad on a dutch auction site:

It's a lot smaller, so maybe it's not 4Watt at all. Anyway, I'm asking what I should bid for this one without being disregarded as a leech.

I also think that the price is a bit optimistic on the sellers part. i wasn't aware that you already had one spotted. I have no idea what the system you pictured could be worth so I wont be making a wild guesstimate. :

However, I think the person who you should contact about an approximate price would be Sam from samslaserfaq. He doesn't post on this forum, but from what I have read he is a very nice guy, he helped gooeygus get his 4w system (damn postal services) and I am sure he would answer your question, probably the most accurate appraisal.

maybe post it over at the pl and im sure someone there will know more about it and possibly who it belongs to.
