maybe, but its not expensive and there 200mw each CW

plus the more you pay the better you get ;)

Currently, the ones that I am selling are performing brilliantly, at well over 200mw CW - and they are $17.50 each, shipped....can your source do lower than that ? If so, I am interested :)

LOL probably not, they were £16 each but they have just put there prices up to £20 each.

if you proper heat sink the diodes for like in a scanner they can easily do 250mw each. but i use them in my pointers so only 220 mw with duty cycle

Don't forget that there is an evaluation underway that many of us paid for utilizing a probable 200 mW CW diode. I think the results of the findings will be a pleasant surprise.
you can get 200mw 650nm diodes that are CW not pulsed for £20 each

Where?
here

oh sorry, the diodes are 120mw 650nm cw, but can easily go to 200mw. not just me, lots of others use them for 200mw in a nice heat sinked case

Yeah, surely it's 140mW PULSED in a 8x drive, so what, you looking at a 'rated output power' of 60mW?
Overdriven, you could get what? maybe 100mW if you're lucky, no wait, very lucky. :-/
But, since Senkat is probably ending the GB's, it's definately alot better than anything available now, so it would be a good idea, especially at $10

If you're talking about the sld1234vl, it's rated at 140 mW pulse and 50 mW CW. I have a bunch of these before Senkat started offering the 1236's. I have it's CW output set at about 75 mW and it pops balloons, smokes tape at close range, etc. Definitely not as rugged as the 1236's, which are rated at 80 mW CW, and of course most are finding that they can be easily overdriven.

Joniverson, YES ! They are the 1234's that he is talking about...I WONDER what happened to the 1235's ?? I have yet to have seen them anywhere !
