Portable, focusable Lab-Style Laser
This is my brand new, lab style laser.
It is set to 150 mW for LONG life.
It's driver is custom made and posses a large heat-sink.
(Regulated current, voltage, and reverse connection.)
It has a battery compartment for a 9v, (PP3) battery.
It has rubber feet to prevent sliding, and to protect the bottom from scratches.
It has a large heat sink for long duty cycles.
It is focusable.
I am thinking about $110 + Shipping.

PM me to talk.
To all naysayers who think this is to much for 150mW, the price is not always proportional to mW output. There is QUALITY here.
LPF members have grown used to ridiculously low prices on everything.
Made in America, not Taiwan; if you understand what I mean. :undecided:

I am thinking about $60 + Shipping.
PM me to talk.

The old thread is here:

For some reason, the forum isn't leting me post the pictures here.

It doesn't matter if it's good quality, your not going to get $110+ for a 150mW laser in a lab style case, sorry.

I have made two others like this; they have been tested for hours without getting hot. For this application, “a couple of washers" are more than sufficient.

I would posit that "more than sufficient" and "epic" are not even close to the same statement.

More importantly, you come onto a forum with many knowledgeable builders and then want to argue the quality and value of your build.

These types of builds sell for MUCH LESS in this forum. That is nothing against your build. It is simply the nature of this forum.

Arguing "why" it is worth more will NOT convince anyone here to pay your price. This type of build is what NooBs build for their first lasers here to learn how to do it.

Come up with something like this:

And you will trigger some interest here.

Peace,

I have no doubt this is made with quality but as everyone else said its a box style not a lab style. Try ebay, you can always try to get a buyer there... I paid 25$ shipped for the last 150mw flashlight style laser I bought on the forum.
