Hey guys, I sold a couple of these and this is the last one I have. It is a Cobra XRS888. It also has voice alerts to tell you the band or laser.
It features Intelligent mute, you have to set this up, it ignores alerts if your engine RPM's are very very low. Stop sign, traffic light, etc... The range on this is great, its even saved me from behind a couple of times. The only bad thing is in the city it has a lot of false alerts, but in City mode it will ignore them unless they get really strong. It also detects Radar detector detectors. :p Im not gonna ask you where you live when you buy it, but you should make sure that you are not in the states where it is illegal in my Sig, if you are in a different country check your laws. If you are in one of these states you could get it taken away and or ticketed.

Almost forgot to say, I bought this for $100, I will be taking offers.

Video of me testing it on a radar speed sign, Btw this is my favorite place to max out. :D
Sign is at :19, easy to miss it. This might be sold before anyone offers on it, but I might be selling another one so ill just update this post.

HAPPY SPEEDING! :san:

SOLD!

Not to poop on your thread (I will remove this post if you want), but wouldn't it be easier to NOT break the law?

People who speed are putting other people's lives at risk just so they can get a cheap thrill or get to their destination 5 minutes quicker.

Ive always supported the freedom for anyone to say whatever they want on any thread.

I have never gotten into a accident resulting from someone speeding or me speeding, and neither have any of my friends. Its the same concept as the safety glasses. When you have them on you take more risks then when they are off. I dont know about everyone else, but I am more careful when im speeding. Im not talking about 90 in a 15mph school zone, but usually im just going 10 mph over the limit, except for the rare times where i am racing or its a empty road and im going way faster. But I see what your worried about. Oh ya one more thing, people who are texting, eating, talking, or drinking while driving put people in more danger statistically in my opinion.

^^^Let's not forget the nice folks who just love to sidle up to another car on a two lane highway, and slow down to 40mph to let miles of traffic build up behind them while they enjoy the scenery.

It's a shame there is no statistic on the number of accidents caused by improper travel in the left lane.

Also Jaseth please remember that many of the speed laws in the US are the result of post WWII restrictions meant to save gas.

It's absolutely absurd that the speed limit on highways that easily support cars going 80, is still set to 50.

So while obeying the laws is great in theory, it's just not practical in life.

Btw, on a 6 hour drive on monday I was able to shave off exactly one hour bringing it down to five hours. Of course the map/gps 6 hour estimate was based off of speed limits.

I don't think 10mph worth of extra speed has a lot to do with anyone else's safety most of the time, but the cops will still get you. Street racing is ridiculously dangerous, take it to the track please. Cell phones, lack of attention and courtesy (turn signals and right of way), people who just sit in the left lane blocking people, and drunk people cause the most accidents I think.

On topic- I can't hang anything on my windsheild? Better take my gps down. Good luck on the sale Haloid95

Yep, they can even ticket you.... :yabbmad:

Thanks

Ive only raced a couple times, around 2-5 am on the highway. And once or twice on a empty road, not going that fast.

@InfinitusEquitas yep I hate the messed up speed limits, here in Florida its a little bit better than Iowa. In Iowa a road that is clearly built for 60 is 45. I tried to argue that with a cop, I got a ticket. :gun:

Don't ever argue with cops. It's a lost cause before it starts.

Be polite, ask for a warning instead, or for a lesser ticket, but if it's some jack@$$ on a power trip, just take the ticket, and drive away. You can usually always go to the prosecutor later, and they will reduce the ticket for you, for an extra couple hundred.

As for racing, I do agree that it's extremely dangerous on public roads. I've done it a couple times on completely open highways with zero traffic, but I'm certainly 100% against it on residential roads.

Going 10-15mph over the limit is not racing though.

Also most cops will not bother to pull you over if you're over the limit by less then 10, in most cases 15 mph. It's just not worth their time.

I can't disagree with you going 10mph over or the fact that those things are more dangerous. In most European countries, you can legally go up to 10km/h above the speed limit because they have intentionally created a safety margin.
I also remember an episode of mythbusters where they discovered that being on the phone was as bad for your driving as being drunk.

That definitely seems odd. I can only speak for some of Europe, where most places, if you are going about 20km/h above the speed limit, there is a big risk of running off the road or smashing into the car in front of you.

Bottom line is - I hate people who drive irresponsibly - and in Denmark breaking the law usually means you are doing something very irresponsible. I have lost too many friends to bad driving to have the slightest shred of respect for people who treat the road like a playground or overtake on a full white line to make it to work 2 minutes quicker. If you are late, you should have left earlier.

Consider these free bumps for your sales thread Haloid ;)

Yes free bumps :D. I now see why you are worried, in the US speeding is accepted a little bit more and is less dangerous than in Europe which is very busy and I think the roads are more curved in Europe not sure though.

It's odd, but true. Ultimately imo speeding and responsible driving are not at all mutually exclusive.

The laws are kept the way they are in the US not for any safety reasons but rather for the generation of revenue.

There are roads that I absolutely would not speed on, or even hit the limit on... for example winding narrow one lane roads with 40mph limits and blind driveways all over the place.

Conversely there are times when I'm on a wide open two or three lane highway, with a 55mph limit and not a car in sight... on those I'm always speeding so long as I have a good line of sight to spot other cars or cops:p
