Yea went for the gusto, think it was well worth it, she a light saber on steroids burn through any right quick. I even set my 044 at 5.5 amps just because I could. :D

Here's some pics of it and it has multiple safety stuff like a shutter, pin and key. I have no idea what c-mount 638nm diode it is and the lens is slightly bigger than a normal lens. I can take pics of the inside showing the diode and lens if needed. IT is a class 4 and the output goes way up the colder it is but it is at least 500mW. I will take $100 shipped. It is likely no one has one like this. IF it doesn't sell at that price I am keeping it.

It's definately a "different" unit. Hard to explain the beam and dot without seeing them in person.

Thanks for looking everyone. Doing my best to offer good prices. Trying to get my collection. Basically down to one of each different wavelength or different diode other than extra inexpensive ones.

i will do a review on the 635nm its amazing you can see like 4 beams when focused hard to explain

Pete, speaking of some of your "stuff", I just finished up a little pointer using one of those LPC826 diodes you gave me in one our care package exchanges from awhile back; works great, thanks! :yh:

;)Iv'e also gotten a few of those "care packages":) but one of mine had a "built unit LPC826:eg: at 375mw..They really have to be the most thoughtful put together packages as even 2 years later I find something I really need.
Even if I get a "sweet fix craving":shhh:

I doubt you will ever sell that laser for what you have into it, but if you want to sell it, I would like to offer to buy it now.
