Phlatlight PT-54 Red LED Bare LED $12 Shipped Or W/Heatsink & Optics $14 Shipped US

Alright I have over 100 of these PT-54 12W LED's piling up. I am blowing them out for as little as $80 for 10 bare LED's or $90 for 10 with the heatsink and optics.

Data Sheet

Single units come assembled with a finned heatsink and optics for $14 or as the bare LED for $12.

They can be run up to 13A @ 3V and are insanely bright. Here are two flashlight based builds using this LED.

Here are some pictures of what you get.

My poor power supply can only give it 5A but even there it is terribly bright. Proper eye protection is highly recommended.;)

Here is the pinout for the LED.

You can cut it on this line to fit it in your host and use the two marked contact points on the top for positive and negative. It does produce a great deal of heat so you will want to mount it on a good sized heatsink.

Re: Phlatlight PT-54 12W Red LED With Heatsink, Optics and TEC for $16 shipped US

I have been offering these for a while now over @ LPF and thought this community might be interested in them as well. There is a DLP projector that contains diodes that are useful to us over there but the projectors also hold quite a few other nice items as well.

This community is LPF, might want to fix that up ;)

Just reminding everyone where they are.:na:

I copied most my thread from CPF and thought I removed all that stuff.:tinfoil:

No worries, nice sale! I'll consider getting one if I pick up a diode :)

I should get one.
Woah 5 amps at 2.8V? I'm thinking that is a D or C cell host.
Hmmm I have a big D size LED host too. Do i get the red or the blue though?

After this pay's spend I think I'll leave my hobby stuff for a week or two. I'll grab one in a few weeks- probably a blue as well:
1 x Mitu ML501P73 500mW diode
3 x 3.8mm GB diodes
1 x Uniphase Argon laser
Several hosts, heatsinks, tritium tubes, UV torches

You can actually run them up to 8-9A. My power supply is just limited to 5A. Jay did a couple mag builds with these and also a guy over @ CPF. See the links to the builds in the OP.

Yes now listen to my voice. Buy the LED, buy the LED.:eg:

Very cool. Hmmm you could do an RGB build with one of thoses 3-reflector things. You can pull a few amps out of a D cell, although probably a lantern type host would be better in series / parallel.

Oh it's beautiful..... Feel compelled to buy red and blue phlatlights .... Can't resist...

I shall snap out of it by staring at my my Argon :) My first Argon laser - Laser Pointer Forums - Discuss Lasers & Laser Pointers

Maybe next pay pay DTR ;)
