I have a couple questions:

1) Once we get the $100 cash coupon do they work exactly like cash? For example, if the ACTUAL purchase price that someone has to pay for an item on say August 5th, is $150, does that coupon for $100 actually give us a full $100 off the price, such that the $150 item becomes $50 to purchase?

I ask this ^ question, because the DD site often lists a "Price" and an "Original Price". I want to make sure that the cash coupon will apply to the "Price", not to the "Original Price".

2) Is the iDoner membership a recurring $6.99 monthly charge? If so, can it be cancelled if we don't want it in future months?

3) If I go forward, and decide to spend $80, what do you guys suggest purchasing? I'm pretty loaded down on 532s at this point, and I wouldn't buy a 445 commercially.

EDIT: Read this page:
http://www.dinodirect.com/help/fee-and-cancellation-policy/
And the membership IS recurring, but it looks like you can cancel it with reasonable notice ahead of a billing cycle, without any penalty. So that sounds A-OK to me. As a fun side-note, the verbiage on that page was definitely written by a north american (or at least native english speaking) lawyer :)

Did you read the comments RHD on my Firedragon from dino? The gaurantee certified power didn't mean crap. My 80mW unit does 20-30mW.

calm down please Jake, please give me your order number for investigation. and we will never lie to anyone, thanks:yh:

My order number is as follows. 59J55713-DD

Please look into it. Since I have no response from dinodirect, even after filing a paypal dispute, I would like a refund, or else I must escalate it to a paypal claim.

Interesting. I will be curious to see how they handle this.

I have that Firedragon 80mW also, and mine came in at exactly 80mW - ie, not a mW more. It peaked at exactly 80mW. It's what led to my initial assumption that they were actually LPMing the lasers themselves (at least in the certified power line)

I also ordered a 1W 808nm, and a 300mW 532nm that both arrived on spec or higher. And then of course I also ordered a second 300mW 532nm within the context of choosing a laser for DD's GroupBuy attempt, and it was also above spec.

So I'm four (4) lasers in with DD, and at least (3) of those were completely unknown purchases on DD's end (IE, they didn't know I was an LPF member making the order), and they've been fantastic.

But of course, your experience with them resonates with me. I'm really interested to see how they handle this.

my 80mW firedragon peaked at 190mW and only 15mW IR with one 10440. The stability is pretty bad but its never under 80mW.

Luck of the draw I guess

Yeah, they still haven't responded to emails or anything. The only thing I got was a email from paypal saying they refunded my money and closed the dispute.

But that is still zero responses from Dino, and zero customer service/ support. Thanks Dino direct for getting my hopes off.

I thought they had a LPM and were measuring there lasers but they clearly aren't , OR they are sending out underdogs lasers knowingly. Either way, Dino just lost business from me ever again.

Dino, I don't mean to draw attention towards myself, but my birthday just passed and I'm an iDonor and was at the time of my birthday. I didn't get a gift coupon?

Also, how does your order tracking work? It doesn't display ANYTHING useful.

Hey Jake, sorry for the unhappy purchasing. But I don't think my colleagues in customer service department know your complaint.
Did you send any complaint details about the laser pointer on DD? Or did you just complaint for refund?
The reason why I asked for your order number is to check out your order, and then I can contact with customer service department, and ask them to contact with you on further details.

Hello, is the firedradon laser series of Dino Direct any good?
Anyone bought anything like that from them? I've read some reviews but i'm on a dilemma after all this fuss!
I mean the fire dragons are supposed to be their top series, they have to up to spec! No?

We were just talking about this. Some are great and some have not been. On average they are better than the other lasers on their site but it sill comes down to a bit of luck.
