Here is a Powerlight B-50 with one of my OTF (out the front) heatsink designs. It takes a CR123 power source.
The front of the retaining ring was machined to remove the ridges and make it smooth and flush. The heatsink has a 12mm pocket for the Aixiz module but does not go all the way through. This retains more mass, and in turn creates a more effective cooling heatsink. The back side has a 3mm hole punched through to the Aixiz side to allow you to run your wires to the diode. It was then polished to a mirror finish.

EDIT: The total length of this style kit is less than 1/2" longer than the standard B-50 since a lot of the front was machined down.

This is a ONE OFF, no more being made (by myself) B-50 kit for sale to help raise funds after being LAID OFF.

Heh, told you it was hard to get that top ring off!
I destroy about 30% of these in some way...bending or scratching try to get the glued ring to unscrew.

Sorry you hear about you getting laid off, can you not collect unemployment benefits?

I want to point out how small this thing is. Even with the OTF design, it is only 1/8" longer than a regular b50. This is because the barrel was machined way down.
