UPDATE!
I am now selling the Pocket Mini Kit for DIY! :cool: Host, heatsink, prep. the 'pill'. See here!:

No longer selling complete builds... Please read this:

Looking for a nice mini laser? This is a great little host with a tail button clicky switch.

(Host size - 3/4" X 3") The 'Pocket Mini' is a really nice build! :cool: It runs off of a single 3.0 volt Lithium primary, or a 3.6 volt Lithium rechargeable battery. Check out the size!

Using quality parts...

* FlexDrive driver
* Custom heatsink
* AixiZ acrylic module
* 803T blu-ray or 'long' open can red diode.

It's nice to have the option to use primaries, or rechargeable batteries! ;)

Heatsink: The thickness of the heatsink is not bad for such a small host...

Although this host is shorter than a AA host, it is just a little 'thicker' (larger in diameter), to suit the CR123 battery. So the heatsink is pretty nice for the 'Pocket Mini'!

The build is very solid! As seen in the pictures, the heatsink, driver, and module/diode, are all installed inside the head of the host. They are screwed into place, holding these parts solidly fixed, inside the head, adding to the heasinking properties of this design! ;)

Really a nice finish! Very 'weighty' in your hand for the size of it. I really like this little 'Pocket Mini', it has become my current favorite! :D

I think that there is plenty of heatsinking for 115mW's of blu-ray... Or, 225mW's of red!

Holster! I found a really nice accessory for the Pocket Mini! :cool:

This black leather holster is nice and thick! It is made for a MiniMag. The 'Pocket Mini' will slide in 'snug', then you just stretch the leather a little by pressing your fingers on the sides (each side), like so...

Then it is 'form fitted' for your Pocket Mini! ;)

Yes sir! Using the top quality FlexDrive by DrLava. It is a very efficient boost circuit, that will regulate the current precisely, even with a low battery!

Does 300mW from the blue-ray sound like a possibility?

Not quite yet (realistically)... Yes, 300mW's of blu-ray is doable, but it won't last at that power. You can get 200mW's pretty stable, but the diode (drive) cost $250 alone.

It won't be long before the prices come down down down...

Re: My New 'Pocket Mini' Laser! - Blu-Ray or Red

Honestly, the best 'bang for the buck', are these 803T blu-ray builds! 115mW's of blu-ray is very bright. :cool:

You can see the beam reaching out into the night sky!

Once the prices for the higher power sleds come down (hopefully to around $50 bucks), then you can replace the 803T diode if you want more power! The 4X sleds are about that price right now. They are about 150mW's (fairly safe) power.

I don't guarantee diodes, but I rebuild at no charge. You just pay for parts and shipping. So if you ever wanted to upgrade to a more powerful diode. I can help you with instruction, or you can send it back for me to do it for you! :)
