"Dyad of Xen" Red 460mW 638nm
It's fall closet-cleaning time, and that means that some of my favorite builds, that I've hung on to for the longest, need to start moving along to new homes (at asking prices that I think are awesome!). This was a build that I showcased here (she's the red one).
The Xeno line has some of the nicest 14500 hosts around. They're not cheap, but it's a justifiable cost given their remarkable attention to detail. I absolutely love the tailcap's square threading, it makes something as simple as putting in a new battery feel like an exercise in precision. It's a smooth, clean, and masterfully engineered host. I'm really just giving props to Xeno here - but they deserve it.
The colour of this build is in my mind "red wine". That's the best analogy I can relate to the metallic hue of red. The build runs on a single 14500, and uses a glass 3 element red-coated lens. The build LPMs at 460mW+ on the LaserBee. It will peak higher on an Ophir sensor that is able catch higher output powers that occur within the first 45 seconds of testing.
You MUST own laser protection goggles appropriate for this wavelength, and
You MUST be over 20 years of age, and
You MUST be familiar and experienced with the appropriate safety precautions to take with lasers of this power.
You MUST NOT be a resident of Canada
This is not a laser pointing device. At all times, protective laser safety glasses appropriate for this wavelength must be worn by the operator. This laser should not be used around 3rd parties (non-operators), pets, or for any recreational purpose.
