Nothing super powerful (e.g. 1.5W or 2W) just something around 1 watt, I'm looking to pay around $100 shipped I'm in the US.
Let me know if anyone has anything for sale around this price range.

Ive bought and sold on here before always with good expieriences... hope to keep the trend going ;)

Re: WANTED: 1W 445nm laser for about 100$

I have a very poorly built (I didn't build it) 445 in one of the waterproof Rayfoss hosts, that I would sell for $75 plus $20 for tracked shipping.

I think this came from someone who had sold me something that didn't arrive, and it was part of a "make-up" for the non receipt of the original purchase.

It has some sort of LED driver, with black electrical tape insulating the sides of the LED board from the inner walls of the host. The driver isn't fixed in place, so it's held in place by the battery itself, meaning that you have to be careful when you change the battery to make sure the driver hasn't shifted. If it has, you reposition it with your finger before putting the new battery in. Also, it requires a magnetic spacer in order for the 16340 to fit. It has three modes (I think), but I haven't really figured out how they work. Sometimes it hops modes (which I think is due to the magnetic spacer momentarily loosing contact. It would probably be greatly improved by soldering a spring onto the tailcap instead of using a magnetic spacer.

It's this host:
ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

All things considered, it's actually a fun 445. I haven't really thought I could sell it, on account of the above, so I haven't really known what to do with it for a while. But I've enjoyed it myself, largely for its weather-proofness. It's great for a camping trip, or use outside in the rain.

Anyway, I would sell it for $75 (subject to all of its faults), mostly because that's basically the cost of the diode + host + driver + lens + module. In other words, if I just took it apart, that's what I'd have in terms of part value.

Not sure of the output, but I could LPM it if you had any interest. It's probably in the power range you're looking for.

"probably" in the power range im looking for is good enough for me ;)

Ive got some thermal glue to secure the driver and Im fairly certain i have a spring (if not ill bust up one of the pos flashlights ive got laying around) to replace the spacer.

ill pm you for payment details ;)

Ok - well I'll LPM it for you just to be certain.

And I really can't stress this enough - it's not a top quality build!

ALSO, I know you've mentioned buying lasers before, but I need to confirm that you have safety glasses appropriate for this wavelength?

Ok, here's what it looks like on an LPM:

Those little dips you see early on are from the driver "blinking" three times. It does this about 5 seconds into high mode, regardless of whether you enter high mode from OFF, or from cycling to it from another mode. I presume it's supposed to be a visual cue that tells you something about setting driver modes. I know I've seen drivers before that use this type of blink to indicate a particular time for switching modes or groups of modes. I don't even know what the driver in this is, and I don't think I can even pull it out enough to be able to identify it.

I have a Spartan from DL to part with, but the shipping from here to you would make it exceed the hundred dollars. Go for RHD's laser, it's a nice deal.
