Did you ever test how much IR is inside the output? Most of these newish pens have >50% IR output.

I would also like to know about this. Can you please give us the specs, and over a average of like 10-20 units that way we don't get a few freaks either way ???

And can you Change the OP to reflect when you Do and do Not have them available?

The last time I tested them I believe I remember them to be about 10mW of IR per 30mW total. That's a ballpark that I just grab off the top of my head. I'll be sure to check again with the new ones!

I didn't realize that Monday was a holiday when I gave the ~Monday guess! They're currently in a hub near where I am so they should be here by tomorrow.

I don't post averages just because the last time I did I started getting complaints when people's lasers ended up below the average. They definitely will be overspec, and I'll send the readings of your personal laser(s) if you want before I ship them!

And sure I suppose I can do that!

NO I was asking the same question DJNY asked about IR average not mW. The question was how much are they putting out in IR "%" wise. And you should take it off a few to get a more accurate % is what I said. I know you already said you lazily wont check adv mW thats fine, and not what we are asking.... I was trying to give you a more accurate way of testing IR over your entire batch but if you want to go off just 1 thats fine...

So there 35% IR average, Thanks

I did take it off around 5 or 6 the last time I checked it (hence my use of the word "them" and not "it"). Also, I do check average (if that's what you meant by adv) mW, I just don't publicly broadcast it anymore--it's not a question of laziness.

No problem!

Hey guys bad news.. Looks like the lasers ended up at the Amherst post office rather than Amherst College post office. They screw up like this a lot.. Slightly aggravating but I should have them by tomorrow!

Hey guys sorry for the double post but I thought this needed its own post:

Because of the delay today I won't be able to get the first round of lasers out til Monday. They're currently sitting in my box but the post office closes at 5 and they got there at 7 :(

The problem is I have our conference championship swim meet that we are leaving for tomorrow at around 11:30. My schedule is booked up to that time as well: wakeup swim from 7 to 8, breakfast til class at 10 and then I leave at 11:30. If it wasn't so jam packed I'd try to at least get a few tests in/ship a few out but I won't be able to.

I know this is a pain and I definitely know how annoying waiting is (especially for lasers) and I'm really sorry. Just the events that could slow it down the most happened. Higher powers willing, I'll try my best to get ALL the orders out on Monday.
