Thanks John...

Like I said, you really have to see and handle it in person to truly appreciate it. :D

I agree 100 percent. You have NO idea of how heavy this host is until it's in your hands.. It's awesome!''

It stopped raining so it's off to take some outside beamshots!!:yh:

I wouldn't mind a couple of those myself.

I'll try and get those posted this afternoon. :)

I figured I might as well just get the whole package for now and worry (or not) about copper heatsinks for my present c6's later - so I just ordered 2 :D

(note to self: STOP spending money on this hobby ffs!!)

Unfortunately I ran out of time yesterday so it will probably happen next week.

Thanks for the order, it will ship on Monday!

Yeah, it usually takes about 5 days from Survival (to UK), it took 10 this time.

Looking forward to a conical focuser :D

Would I be able to fit S I diode and driver in this host?
Or are the diodes leads to short?

Yes, the SL I leads are too short. You would need the upcoming SS1LHA host which will include the shorter heat sink from the SL II aluminum host version.

Very nice host btw, looks so clean and solid.
Can't I just buy this heatsink: Copper Heat Sink
and put it in the new host?

Sorry for all the questions, but I really want this host lol.:)

BCGanja - just for you, here's a couple of pictures with the heatsink you've linked to inserted into the stainless host, side by side with the extended heatsink.
As you can see, it will go in and is held in position very well, but it falls a bit short ;-)

Like Stix said, it falls short, and you would not be able to tighten the set screw when using an SL I diode module. For that you would need this one.

Got paid today, saw this host and was like  Plan on buying this to build a 405nm 500mW laser. I know I need to save money and buy the cheaper host, BUT this model looks too awesome to pass up. I think my fiance might get me the tactical flashlight using this host for our anniv. too:D. Would be nice to have a good flashlight to spot crabs on the beach this year. So glad I found this forum. Before this I had more than 1 person try to tell me to buy a from Wicked Lasers.... I just didnt like them, you guys rock:bowdown:
