I've also created a new 445nm 1-1.3W LPF special laser parts bundle dubbed the "Obsidian". It's the same as the $139 basic bundle I offer on my sticky threads but includes the black anodized extended focus ring and black anodized aluminum heatsink (and all black C6 host of course). $147 including US shipping. The original application was intended to be as a survival tool, i.e. firestarting, emergency signaling, etc. I wanted to infer a purpose other than lighting matches and popping balloons. :whistle:

Wait...These things do more then that? :crackup:

You know that black heatsink and focus adapter are just begging for an IR build. Although a laser you can't see won't do you much good in a survival situation.

Unless your potential rescuers are using FLIR or a camera to find you.
Although, visible wavelengths make a better survival tool anyway.

I ordered mine on Wednesday received on Friday! This thing is a beauty, the pictures don't do it justice. The all black host and heat sink with lens adapter is amazing. Great quality laser, definitely exceeded my expectations.
