Re: FS: 5.4W NDB7A75 445nm handheld With G2+G7 - the Sliver Star price lowered!

I'm really curious why most Chinese stores (including DX, FastTech, BangGood and thousands of small Ebay/Aliexpress stores) can ship their stuff, big or small, to anywhere in the world for free while some stores insist the customers have to pay shipping fees (which vary from reasonable to very expensive).

I don't mean to be rude but this is something that has been nagging me for a long time. Can you please enlighten us?

They ship their items at the post office, like China Ems/hong kong post office with the lowest shipping cost they can get. If it's free shipping then the profits/order quantity are great enough to cover the shipping cost usually. Especially in small items too. Some of the stores that force you to pay the shipping cost either they are making low profits from their items or consider it as extra profits - like the WL inferno I bought during the 40% sales which forced everybody to pay the freakin $15 for the "shipping" even from what I checked after I received my package: It should only cost them about 6 dollars correspond to their shipping method.

If it's possible to sell and ship (with tracking) a flashlight from China for $10 TOTAL, then it's possible to ship a laser for less than $10 too.

Aleast to say, It's a high power laser which worth few hundreds but not a flashlight. I don't want go through the troubles on the customs neither of buyers. Express Company like fedex would clear the customs with better speed and more easily. If you want me to ship as the hong kong post office international package then the price will certainly go down as the shipping cost too.

That's not really true, at least not here. The chance of a laser shipped by HK post and labeled as a flashlight getting seized is way lower than if it was shipped by courrier and labeled properly.

TBH I still think there's more to this whole free shipping vs. paid shipping thing.

There is. Read this:

I am interested in one of these.

However, if I understand, you are getting 5w+ out of one 9mm 445nm diode?

Even with the best heatsinking, what's the life expectancy of a 9mm 445nm diode running this much power?

1. Yes...c'mon question like this now

2. One cannot simply tells you the life expectancy of a diode and actually it is not only about the heatsink, the whole host is made to absorb the heat quickly from the heatsink. So you gonna make the whole host too hot to touch before the diode overheats which is quite impossible. In other word, it should last for years. :D

Update, I am planning to change the driver with 2 minutes protection instead of 1 minute in next week.

Sanwu is back to business from CNY today! They will send me few items including the new driver!

So, basically, this lasers is your build? Or you just act as a third person? >source<
It's ~415usd.

And by the way, do you have ~1W 405nm version (and price)?
As i couldn't find it on the online store..

And.. Are this lasers focusable?

Thanks in advance

It's original price was 2800CNY-$450 as you can see on the second page. The price just dropped a little this month if you checked the purchase records. And I did a customerizations on this one too. The driver is

different from the shop one with using>2min mode changing protection and with g7&g2 + a stainless head coming with the package. I think it deserves to worth a little more than $415.

The highest 405nm output of sanwu builds is around 900mw with G2 because it's easy for a 405 diode burned due to unsafe current but we can adjust it to 1W@G2 as your request.

I personally own a 1.2W 405nm from a good 405nm diode with sanwu mid-size host too.

The laser is focusable too...............

okay, to wrap it up, so basically the difference that you offer is:
-using >2min mode protect
-G7+G2

instead of what it comes from onine store:
-using 2min mode protection
-G2 + spare lens(?) quote from web: "AR coated optical glass film (two-piece collimator, send spare G2)"

the other that included on the package was:
-two original Sanyo 18650 battery
-charger
-stainless steel head (two type)

the G2 and G7 can be replaced easily, right?
because either one has an advantages and weaknesses over the other one..

about 405nm, 1W++ with G2 and host which fits 2x18650/2x16340/2xCR123 (or interchangeable like >this<, >this<, and >this<), how much is it?
how much is the price differences between gold color and metallic nickel?

thanks in advance, i really interested in the sleekness of the host..
p.s: i guess you need to build a host that fits 2x26650
