Need an AT&T android phone

You can switch your sim card from phone to phone and keep your unlimited data plan. When the time comes for and upgrade just pay full retail and swap the card. With the amount of data you use it's nothing to pay full retail compared to what you would have to pay for a cheap upgrade and then have to start paying for data.

Im doing this on my Verizon account. I just upgraded before I would have lost my unlimited data. so now I have unlimited 4g droid razr maxx that uses a 4g sim card so my next phone I have to pay full retail but will keep my unlimited data plan.

Haha no offense, but Verizon is a lot different than AT&T. Not saying your wrong, but that's what this experiment is all about; to find out. If it was anyone in this position, spending $200+ for a new phone that may or may not work just doesn't seem like much sense to me. So, get a loaner or a cheapie and test it. Ya find out for sure, THEN you invest in a decent phone.

Better yet save your money and read into it on a forum. I'm sure it's something that has been discussed before. Thats how I found out about the upgrade before I lost out.

Oh trust me, I've searched. It's never been done (and I looked for MONTHS). Primarily because WebOS is such a little known and little used phone OS. Everyone is either a Isheep, or an Android Robot.

I can just send it to you, do what you want with it haha its surplus to requirements. just pay postage which is probably around $9-10 I should imagine.

This happens because if you use an att phone they know what phone youre using because they made it... In this case id suggest to buy an unlocked phone, this way att has to way to know what kind of phone youre using

Got the phone today ped and I was unable to even make a call on the phone let alone access the network. It did recognize the network as AT&T, but when I placed a call I just got a recorded message that the call couldn't be placed.

Are you aware that you left a 1Gb micro card in it?

Yup, came with the phone.

If your getting a message saying the call cannot be placed, that in itself is a call being placed, so it must be accessing the network no? , maybe give AT&T a ring see what they say?

If there is no joy there then I don't know, I guess your search continues

PS ,

I forgot to mention there is a screen protector on it, the screen underneath should be perfect.

Yeah I saw the screen protector. Uhm, the key here was being able to just hot swap the sim and get it to work WITHOUT having to call ATT. I just don't want them finding out that I'm using something other than what they show i'm using.

T-mobile offers unlimited data now for 30$/mo. Except they block tethering. If you read on XDA there is workarounds for it though.
