Up for trade is a GGW 6x in a jayrob cr2 build kit. It is using a Dr. Lava flex drive V.5 set to 195mA.
I opted for jayrobs version 2 heatsink, for the best possible heat dispersion.
This laser was built on 12/29/2009. Like most of my lasers, they don't get much action. I build it, then when it's complete.
I will include the laser and the rechargeable cr2 4.2v cell, A GITD clicky cover for the lens + the keychain that is not pictured.
I would say the GGW is putting out over 190mW with axiz lens. It has no problem burning wood or lighting matches. It will even burn white paper when focused.
If you use good quality glass lens, you will easily have over 245+mW.

Their is nothing wrong with the laser, It's a very fine laser.
The reason yobatts is selling the laser. Is because he just wants to have a brighter beam like that of a 532nm laser

I remember buying my first 405nm I too was a little disappointed after seeing so many beam shots here on LPF.

Help him out:)

i can get pics up soon. will put a rush on that if i get some offers. its mint and i got it in the mail today and the guy i got it off didnt use it much at all and he said he was the one who put it together so im guessing under 30-40mint max...

ya 50mw not going to cut it..
my ideal find would be a nice 150+mw(true 150mw) with a smaller host something like a cree or pro fire.. if i could get a true 200mw green in a nice small host i would be happy. i feel if i get a green with any less power than 150mw i would be cheating myself.. i payed 145$ for this less than a week ago. if anyone has something even more powerful and bad ass i can add. my only thing is i want a smaller host nothing with a key or anything.

I have one of these that I just rebuilt. It runs 130-150mW. It can be run with an 18650 or you can unscrew an extension and run it off of a CR123 (making it shorter). The one I rebuilt does not have the "lanyard" with it. Although it has a key, you can turn it on and remove it.

It has a couple of small scratches on it. It is not worth quite the same as you are looking for, but I would be willing to add a small HeNe to the deal to even up the money

ya i think that might work..is that beam really bright? that has become the only thing i care about.. and what is a a small HeNe btw?

An HeNe is a Helium Neon gas laser. They are pretty good starter gas lasers, and usually run in the lower voltage and current draw ranges. HeNe produces a reddish orange laser beam I believe. (632.8 nm). Plus dave's a great guy to buy stuff from. His superior knowledge and kindness are a plus too :)

Although it is possible to run a HeNe PSU from batteries, most would be considered a "lab" type laser. The VAST majority of HeNe's are run from a PSU that is either directly powered by mains or a converter powered by mains.

I sent you some beam shots via email to discuss "brightness."

EDIT:i just saw Dave's post,i'm not doing anything with 50mW...
