I've burnt 2 HD DVD diodes so far, and I'm determined to test my next one better. Does anyone have an extra 1ohm resistor I could have? I could trade you some other values of resistor if you'd like to save a trip to the store, I have loads of resistors but no 1, 10, or 100 ohm to measure the current with. Shipping would be easy, just pop it in an envelope and mail it like a letter. Help a poor college student out! Thanks!

I can give you one. I bought a package of 10 and really only needed one. Just PM me your address and I'll pop it in the mail.

Thats probably why you have killed them. You are suppposed to use a driver, not a resistor.

I think he is using the 1ohm resistor for the easy current testing trick, I don't think he is using them as drivers.

Are any left? I need some 1 Ohm 1% 1W resistors because mine are 5% and are too inaccurate.

I bought like 40 1 ohm resistors from Newark a while ago. they are pretty tiny though and I'm not sure if they're 5% or 1%..

wait let me look,

mine are rated 1% tolerance but only 0.5W power.

if u want one ZomB, PM me your address and I can send you one.
