A ND+KTP crystal made the laser beam From 808nm(INFARED) over to 532nm (GREEN).
This ND+KTP crystal set is from a 200mW powerd laser pointer.
I know that the highest mW input is 200mW, im not sure, but i think that you can use highere mW types.
I do only have 2 crystal set in stok!!
I dont know what the input and output will be. but i think that its the same as come in!
If you want, can i give you a Green laser module for focus the beam totaly. FOR FREE!!
But no 808nm diode!

The price is: 15$ each!

Sorry to be off topic, but i took apart a green laser yestrday and found EXACTLY as above (post 2). I removed the crystal set so i could make an IR burner, but the lens in the "Focus available lens" is glued in real tight...how would i remove or loosen that? :-? i need to move it down the chamber to focus the dot more, atm its focused to infinity at the closest point to the diode and unfocuses the further away it is ::). Cheers!

Try putting a drop of MEK (methyl ethel ketone) to dissolve glue. If lens is plastic don't get any MEK on it.

Is that 200mW the 808nm input power of the 532nm green output power? Could you measure the size of the crystals, because it reminds me of the guts of a super cheap (4~5euro) green pointer.

There should be some kind of banner on old threads so people know what they're digging up :)

I probably should have started a new thread but I dug this one up looking for ND +KTP crystal sets for DIY 532 nm lasers. I have been using dead laser pointers but have only found tiny crystals which only convert a small portion of the beam from an 808. Does anyone know where I can find larger coated crystals either separate or bonded at a reasonable price? I'm looking to build green lasers based on 300 to 1000 mw 808's. BTW, I've used MEK to dissolve both cyanoacrylic and epoxy glue used in modules for to hold lenses and crystal sets.

to get 1 watt of green is going to be almost impossibel. good luck finding a pump diode to deliver enough power. 300mw is doeable. try o-like.com i think they sell crystal sets.

How much power would you need? You can get 3W & 5W 808nm in C-mount and TO-3 on eBay and other places (if you want to blow the bucks). I would thing beefy enough crystal sets would be the problem,

300mW is about the most you are going to see with bonded sets. If it
is your first attempt at DIY 532, 300 is going to be a challenge in itself...
