FS: MXDL 3405 Press Fit Heatsinks

These heat sinks have been customed machined by a proffesional machinist out of aluminum so that an aixiz module can be pressed into the heat sink for superior heat sinking. They also have an extra ridge on them so that they fit even better inside of the MXDL host.
If people are interested I could also get them made out of copper, and if a set screw would be prefered, I could get it copper with a set screw.

So the aixiz module gets pressed in? Have you tried it with many different aixiz modules? I've got about 5 aixiz modules siting here, and they are all different diameters (building not very precise). Or is a set screw also used?

Same here...

Why don't you make one that the diode can be pressed into, and have it threaded so you can screw in the lens? Also make it shorter so people don't have to shave the pill. Not many of us have tools to do that.

I agree. Diode press fit would offer much better heatsinking. You had a really nice idea, but the QC guy on these aixiz modules takes lots of naps.

From the aixiz modules I've used they've fit really well. Ya, I do need to shorten them a tiny bit. There is no set screw.

Bump. I checked, and my first design needed the pill shaved, but it was changed when they were made, so they will fit in perfectly will the pill being completely intact.
