I just picked up a bunch of these yesterday, they are cute little 3.5mW 670nm modules from Melles Griot. I don't expect that any of you would be interested for the diode in it, but the optics are a true gem. First is a nice glass acromat followed by a large pair of anamorphic prisms, these shape a square beam into a round beam. All the optics are coated for 670nm so they would work perfectly with a DVD burner diode. As for the electronics, the module uses a 5.6mm can held in by a plate that is screwed down, there is a temperature sensor and a TEC on the laser diode part. I would guess that someone here with better electrical knowledge could easily make a driver board and temperature controller for these.

I don't know how much these are worth to you but I am open to offers!

Most of us are way beyond 3.5 mW ;D but the optics may be interesting.
Do you have an offer price ??

I would say about $30-50 for the module, they are brand new. I am intending for people to put their own diode in them. Anamorphic prisms are very expensive and are typically only found in 808 or 915nm coatings.

I guess that I should point out that I am not really interested in a trade unless you have something really unique! These are alignment lasers for argon systems. All that means is that they have a small beam with very low divergence. I have 4 mounts for them, they are 3 axis YZ with a tilt Y. I can sell the mount as well for an additional $15. I guess they might be useful for just setting up and experiment because they are like a 2 pound block of aluminum and bolt to an optical table.

Alright, I have decided to set the final price to $30 for these, that is a steal for the prisms and optics if you decide not to use the TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED DIODE MOUNT! ;D

I'll take one.  pm me with payment instructions.
Could you provide pictures of the extra mount your offering fpr $15 extra. I probably will take that as well?

Wow! You guys really want these! I am trying to get more now, because all the modules I had have been requested and I went with the first PM's! I'll update the thread when I find more!
