I guess then, I wonder how the hobby got "too expensive"? You do not appear to have paid for much

It is obvious that the seller doesn't know what he has. In at least one instance he has misidentified diode to HIS advantage. I don't see any LCC's in the line-up of reds either.
I only can say you that the Reds are from 8x up to 16x

At least one of the bluray diodes is misidentified. Plus, did you throw away all of the red diodes from the GGw sleds?

Most of the reds, at least, are lower power than can be had for usually >= $10 (new)
I think 8x to 16x aren't lower power ;)

20X and higher are available for ~$10 still in the sled here.

Does the seller actually have any working lasers?
Yes i have one 16x red and one PHR build.

Once again I ask then, How did the hobby get "too expensive"? Also, do you believe that your one laser build gives you the experience to know how to handle these ESD sensitive components?

How have these diodes been handled? With this many diodes (and this many types) how were they protected from ESD, etc.?
The diodes where packed into ESD safe stuff from computer parts or packages from Modwerx.

I'm not much concerned with how they were handled by Ndrew. My concern begins with your handling of the components from him AND your harvesting techniques.

Have any of these diodes been installed?
No Diodes from the pic has bin installed, like i said they are "fresh out of sled".

So you got a bunch of broken stuff, pulled it all apart, and now want us to tell you what it is worth. Does that about cover it?

What kind of "glass lenses"? What wavelength? What focal length?
The Glas lenses are from sleds and red pen pointer's.

Still completely unknown

Basically, we have an unknown selling a bunch of unknowns, at an unknown price, from what is (for most of us) a foreign country.

My advice is to offer only as much as you are willing to loose.

Peace,
dave

Thanks for the "nice" welcome from u...
Do you handle every new guy in this board like me ?

Where should i sell my parts ? On ebay ? I can't. I can sell in ebay only laser stuff below 5mw in Germany.

Yes. I handled EVERY person that views this board as only a way to make money the same way. Don't whine. You want some of these people's hard earned money, then earn it. You neither have the "right" to sell here, NOR the "right" to receive my respect. BOTH of those things are earned.

You can sell your stuff anywhere you want. However, no matter where you decide to sell it, you will still have to "pay a price." You don't want to pay eBay's price or your country's price, then pay the price to sell here. Answer questions, develop a reputation, control your entitled attitude, or urinate into the wind.

Peace,
dave

ggw-h20l or ggw-h10l ? what could it be... and how could we tell.

Also one of the red canned can looks bent or something.

It was the LG GGW-H20L i took appart.

sorry for my last post in reference to the red diodes it appears I misspoke.:)

The "diagonal canned' diodes are not "bent." However, they are also NOT from a GGW-H20L

This is just one more instance where the seller has no idea what he has or is selling. If he doesn't even know what he has, how can we trust that he knows how to handle it or that we will get what we paid for? For instance, at least one of the "GGW" buyers will get ripped off at this point.

Peace,
dave

**EDIT**
@ Jander -- MY "Friday" is Wednesday right now. I only lecture Mon and Wed this semester :)
Don't be hatin' just 'cause I'm beautiful ;)

I guess then, I wonder how the hobby got "too expensive"? You do not appear to have paid for much Yes but the difficult thing is to get the drivers... per driver i have to pay 12$ of shippment and another 10-15$ only for the driver.

Yes the first BR diode must be an other but the 3 others are definitly from h20l The 3 LCC's from the h20l i gave to a friend cuz he wanted to make a HP-Laser for his own.

Yes maybe in your country but in germany is only 1 store that sells laser parts for extreme high prices. Like PHR pressed into Aixiz without driver for round 80euros.

Does the seller actually have any working lasers?
Yes i have one 16x red and one PHR build.

I'm no laser "freak" i just wanted to have a Red and Blu with more than 5mW.

My english isn't enough that i can explain you in detail how i harvested them.

Have any of these diodes been installed?
No Diodes from the pic has bin installed, like i said they are "fresh out of sled".

So you got a bunch of broken stuff, pulled it all apart, and now want us to tell you what it is worth. Does that about cover it?
Pls explain it otherwise for me i don't understand your meaning.

That's the only thing i can say over those lenses. Sorry.

It isn't the ebay cost... what do you don't understand in "Laserpointers/parts over 5mW aren't allowed to sell in germany"? So i can not sell them on ebay cuz the auctions would be deleted.
Peace,
dave

But i really don't want your respect. I just want to sell those stuff then i never look into building lasers again. It's time robin and money robin. And a student 24 years old doesn't get 1000 of bucks each month to spend them on laser parts.

I have to pay my house. Food and drink. Taxes, fuel, internet, phone and much more. So i can buy me maybe a few laser parts per year. And this was just a hobby not a "Lifestyle" like some others here. When they want it ok... but it isn't anything longliving for me just a short hobby i quit now.

I can't see why he can't sell his stuff on eBay....
He's not selling working Lasers... only parts...
There is nothing wrong with that.. It is not against eBay
policy... IMO

And I really don't like the User Name he chose... It doesn't
inspire confidence or after purchase customer support...:undecided:

I will make a Picture with my or your name written onto the table if you want ;) yes i just created this account to sell this items. Before i only was a reader in this board.
I'm 22 years old and from germany. In germany this hobby is more expensive than in other countris cuz of shipping availabillity of parts and so on.
And most of items you get from international orders are controlled by the "zoll" and sometimes you wont get your ordered items.

I you want i make another picture.

they grow up so fast :cryyy:

j/k man, but for real did you just aged 2 years extra or did you misstype? :D(im not trying to be a yerk:angel:)

So after all of this my assesment remains the same:

Basically, we have an unknown selling a bunch of unknowns, at an unknown price, from what is (for most of us) a foreign country.

My advice is to offer only as much as you are willing to loose.

Just identifying this stuff is going to be a "hobby" all by itself. If any of it works, will be a bonus.

If you are just looking to buy a couple of parts to build a laser, stick with one of the known dealers here (Modwerx, HighTechDealz, Stonetek, etc.)

This guy is NOT just trying to "get out of the hobby." He got some broken drives for cheap and thought he had found a quick cash cow in this forum.

Bid accordingly

Nah... the "2" and the "4" are separated by a "3"..... or the "End" and
"5" keys...
I think he forgot what he typed earlier.... another "Beware Flag"...

Nice catch........

So i want to scam ?
If you think that it's ok. But i don't want to scam... you only don't get into your little brain that not for everyone a little laserdiode is his LIFE! ;)
that's just my 2 cents.
You can thrust me... or not.

Sure when u don't look onto your keyboard and just "hit in hurry" such misstakes happen.
On my numpad is the 4 left above from the 2 ;)

It also appeares that it is not his only lie

So the diagonal can diodes are from the GGW, but he gave all three of the LCC's to his friend? He just says whatever comes to his mind when he needs to say something.

Any money you send this person is a gamble

I didn't say you were trying to scam anyone. That came out of your mind. I said you don't know what you have or what you are doing. My recommendation based on that was that people should offer money knowing that they had no idea what they were going to get

Sure when u don't look onto your keyboard and just "hit in hurry" such misstakes happen.

I don't "hit in a hurry." I proofread before I hit send. Am I perfect? No. But I believe that I would have noticed my age ;)

 Doood! I'm not the one trying to sell the stuff. You are. The onus of proof is on you.

You don't need any "laserknowledge" (sic) to know what you took out of what. You cannot even remember what drive each of these diodes came out of!

I have no intention of buying anything from you. I can get all this stuff (mostly better) from known sources for less than you think it is worth. Plus, I have a much better level of confidence that it will work and/or be covered by personal warranty.

My "problem", is that think that you are smarter and more "slick" than the members here. You came in with arrogance, when you should have come in with humility. You want us to help you recoup your losses from a poor purchase, but want us to show you respect. Is that clear, Doood?

Peace,
dave

**EDIT** I'm done talking to him. Y'all have my recommendation. I have repped him according to his willingness to say anything to make the sale
