Thumbs up Manufacturers of Indium Wire, Indium Foil

We have our factory to process indium products such as indium foil, indium wire, indium ball, indium powder, indium target, etc.. The quality is high standard, and the price is very favorable. Many manufacturers of Lasers or Optical goods buy INDIUM WIRE or INDIUM FOIL from us on their products. Our indium foil has been exported to USA, UK, Germany, Holland, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, etc.. and the quality is well appreciated by our customers.
Indium wire is widely used to create high vacuum seals in cryogenic apparatus, 1.0mm diameter ideal for making seals where radial space is limited. We make a wide range of Indium wire diameters. One of the most requested sizes is 1.0mm, but our available range from 0.5mm to 3.0mm and larger.
As for indium foil, it is ideal for creating cryogenic vacuum seals, and it is well used to produce excellent heatsinking for laser diode modules. We make Indium foil in sizes up to 400 square millimeters. We also custom-cut sheets in larger sizes or special shapes. The most requested sizes are 0.1x100x100mm, 0.1x150x150mm, 0.2x100x100mm, etc.
For Group Buys, our price for indium foil 99.99%min pure with dimension 0.1x100x100mm is USD32/pc, and we will deliver them with FREE shipping by TNT courier if the quantity goes up to 10pcs.
Payment: Western Union.
Delivery: Within 48 hours upon receipt of the payment.

can you go spam another forum please. Lasers have no use for indium unless your looking to build to create nuclear fission using a laser.

Just by quick comparison on Wikipedia, it appears as though copper would be a much better heatsink than Indium.

Indium has a lower melting point, hence its use in lasers..

Indium is primary used in semi conductors. The melting point is too low to make heat sinks, it melts at 156C. It is also too soft too make heat sinks out of. Indium is used to build some laser diodes, but here on LPF we do not make laser diodes.

Yes, you are right. Indium is very soft, but indium wire and indium foil are widely used to create high vacuum seals. Meanwhile, many customers buy our indium foil for their Lasers or Optical goods. For example, they use indium foil to produce excellent heatsinking for laser diode modules.

I have bare laser diode chips and indium, and I'm at LPF

May also be usable to bond the whole diode case to the heat sink,
if you can ramp the temp up and down correctly.

Of course you don't make heatsinks out of it, its too expensive.
Think of it as thermal paste on steroids.

I think your right though. Not many people would use it.
I'm ok with using arctic silver epoxy to make thermal contact.
No risk of heat damage.

edit.. and yes, mount optics.
My big YVO4 crystal is coated in it, and mounted in a block of copper.

I have a lot of indium and it's alloys.it's an excellent thermal interface material. One unique property of it is the ability to make a vaccuum tight seal directly to glass or other stuff. I once soldered an aluminum heatsink to a steel bar to a copper plate to a ceramic tile to a 50ml pyrex beaker with the stuff just for fun.

I guess that means I'm the same person.
I'm not sure what you mean?
I have some already anyway, either way

I figured someone should defend the OP if its usable in lasers.
No need to be hostile so quickly. (To the OP)
Do you get a lot of off topic people trying to sell things here?
I'm into higher power lasers as well, so I guess its
more useful for me then most.

If there is any demand or any question, please feel free to contact me for more details.
For your reference, our current price for indium wire 99.99%min. pure with diameter 1.0mm is USD10/m FOB China, and the price for indium foil 99.99%min. pure with dimension 0.1x100x100mm is USD32/pc FOB China. If your quantity is large, the price is still negotiable.

I would not call this spam. Spam is cheap china companies posting links to lasers one time and one time only.
This on the other hand is useful for building lasers, and this obviously is not a "hit and run" spam attack like the china guys as he keeps coming back. If you were to call this spam, you would have to call a lot of stuff in the laser pro section spam!

I use indium foil a LOT in my lasers. Instead of using arctic silver between diode and host, I use indium foil instead. It holds it in place easier since it melts to the diode and is better for transferring heat from the diode to the heatsink.

How much for say a 0.1x100x100mm of foil?
