right just to clear this error on my part.

i have PM'ed the buyer in question agreed a new price and refunded the money.

i am not into ripping people off and i should check the cost of things next time before asking for money

what do the K's mean? the amount of code they can handle/hold? or the speed of the motors :S?

(we should add this to the FAQ when answered.)

"K" stands for "Kilo" Kilo is 1,000.

The full meaning depends on what you are talking about. In my mobile home example, I was talking about Dollars, so $84K = $84,000. You've seen it in computers. "You are downloading at 793kbs." "Kbs stands for KiloBytes (per) Second (793,000 bytes per second). With regard to the scanner we are talking about "points of read" or simply put "dots/dashes of light" per second. A 2K unit will "draw" (figure) 2,000 "points" per second. A 20K unit will "draw" 20,000 points per second. I don't know what the "really" good ones do, but I've seen a 50K unit at work!

Peace,
dave

I am interested in the square diode housing. How does a 5.6mm diode fit in it? Will it accept a 9mm diode as well?

$10.00 shipped depending on the answers to those questions?

its all very easy and will make sense when u get it. there is a clamp that screws i and clamps the diode, then the lenss screws in.

take 5.6mm but not 9mm.

you could drill it i suppose

Of course to really confuse you, "k" when talking in computer terms is often 1024 rather than 1000, because of the math involved in such things (such things meaning binary numbers). So 1 kbps is 1024 bits per second. As such, it is sometimes called with the prefix "kibi-" rather than "kilo-". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte

Since this is digitally controlled, it's probably technically 2048 rather than 2000, but these days we've become used to just rounding everything off to whatever base we'd like to use anyway.

Is $10.00 shipped a fair offer?
