Hey all,

Some may remember me so hello hello!

I'm looking for a green laser for some star gazing, would love a custom build but if anyone knows of a place online I can get one that would also be good.. Not looking to burn with it, just something that is bright at night and has a very clear line through the night sky.. :)

Would love to hear what people can offer, please keep in mind I dont have a lot to spend!

Thanks!

I would suggest there 30 MW mini laser because of portability and the beam at night will be good. 50mw might be to bright for star gazing especially if you would be looking at the beam for a long time. my 50mw laser gives me small head aches under my eye when I look at the beam to much out side when not using goggles. IMHO, It's true, 50 mW may be a bit of overkill, at least in truly dark skies, but for pointing in light polluted places or near dusk, and such, a 50 mW is about right. For seeing an asteroid I actually found 10-15mW to show a nice beam and let me see the 6.5 magnitude minor planet it was pointing out. -Glenn

yes, and you need a vice to press the module into the host.
