In fact, now's a good time to update everyone on this...
The order for the shirts and hoodies is out. If all is well, those will be in tomorrow and be ready for printing. They should all be done on Saturday some time (probably after post closes) so they should ship on Monday. If for whatever reason I don't get them all out on Monday, I will finish sending them out on Tuesday.

Once you are done with this round of printing/shipping please add my name to a list so you can easily PM me whenever you have a new design. Hopefully this one will by in my possesion by August 19th when I do my next lasershow

I had another idea for a design yesterday that I'm trying to put together. I'll post it on my other design idea/feeler thread when I get something visual done.

I haven't been contacted. I PMed coldshadow and haven't heard back... If I can use those, I KNOW a lot of people would love a shirt (me included) to support the forum. I can do a so much $ per shirt is donated to LPF or something like that.

I think to get the community into it, I will host a design contest for the best LPF shirt design. winner gets a free hoodie or something.

A design contest sounds like a great idea.

I contacted coldshadow and he said it sounds good. I was hoping he would chat with you too since you are doing it. I asked him a percentage but he didnt get back to me on that. If you want verification, you can pm him again or post a public message on his profile, or you can go to the donation section and write in one of the post. What percentage were you thinking about dethlore?

for the design contest, would we have to come up with design or can we just submit idea? I suck at graphic art. Seeing that banner contest awhile back shows some peeps skills.

I think we can probably use ideas as well.
Maybe if the idea wins, they get a free shirt, the person that does the art gets a shirt as well? just a thought...

Most people want to see the art first though... You can work with another member. I think that'd be ok.

I will post a public message on his profile later today. Percentage wise, I"m not sure... probably be a solid amount that just gets tacked onto the cost of the shirts. Like a couple bucks per shirt I'm thinking.

I got word back from Avery today, he said it's good.

So here's the deal:

for those of you already reading this, you get a head start! shirt/polo/hoodie DESIGN CONTEST!

Rules:
Come up with a design that includes "Laser Pointer Forums" (LPF Logo is okay to use per Avery). The design must be completely vectorized for a high quality printing.
If you do not have vectorizing skills, but have a great idea, get together with another member that can vectorize designs.
Realize, the more colors you use, the more expensive cost per shirt will be. Full color designs will have a higher cost to print (but it'll be sooo cool).

THE WINNER
The winner gets 1 free hoodie or polo or 2 tshirts (winner's choice)
If the winner consists of 2 people (one came up with the idea, one vectorized the design) then each member will get 1 free tshirt.

THE JUDGES
The judges for this contest will be all the LPF members! The way this works, is I will post the designs in a new post. I will take the orders and update a list as they come in.

TIMEFRAME
You have until September 15th 11:59 PM Mountain Time to get your design(s) done. (Yes, you may submit more than one design). Please email your design to me at reubart@gmail.com so I can post all the designs at the same time (Sept 16). I will be taking orders (no payments yet) until October 15th (1 month for ordering). Whichever design has the most pieces ordered wins (minimum of 10 items must be ordered). If orders are withdrawn, making the total items ordered be less than 2nd place, then 2nd place will become the new winner and I will give another month of ordering.

Once the winning design is locked in, I will give 2 weeks for all other members to switch their orders to the winning design if they so desire.

I do not claim and will not claim ownership of your designs and artwork, however, I do reserve the right to use the designs to print shirts solely for the members of LPF.

DONATIONS
$1 per item ordered/paid will be donated to the LPF forum for the awesomeness that it is!

phew.. ok I think that's it... this contest is subject to change for whatever items I have missed or have said in a dumb way.
I will post these in the General area after the Glow In The Dark order is complete... that way we'll have a few testimonials as to how awesome of quality these shirts are!
