You might get lucky Arena... im thinking about just buying you a couple REAL hosts because these pen builds are NOT turning out very well, they just look so... rugged to me. ecspecialy with the focus ring exposed like it is...

Buying the hosts would be easier on me than sending you two crap looking pen builds u know i mean?

Let me know what u think

to be honest , i didnt expect them to be leadlight quality..

as long as you can put batts in , and click the button and they turn on , im all good.

i want the focus ring to be exposed so i can adjust focus on the fly.

and as long as the guts aren't wobbling in there , im good..

Yeah, thats what im trying to accomplish. it requires the module and driver holder to be permanently glues in place. there is no lip inside the host to catch anything, or for the driver holder to sit on. so im sure you can immagine what its like trying to get them to be just right, im not gunna glue them in place unless its perfect. it's getting there, but im kinda worried about it.

I know its takin forever, trust me, i'll make it worth your while :D i have a habbit of sending gifts with orders that experianced delay.

you talking about the "pen kit" jay rob was selling?

have to be very careful as they scratch VERY easily (the black ones at least)
i put one of those together (i think for muffin man)

it takes a couple of attempts to get it perfect, i think i used 5 min epoxy to glue the driver holder/button in place that way if i didn't get it right the first time i could try again....
but i don't think i glued the module at all (as it believe it is case negative) and the glue might interfere with it making contact with the inside of the host...

you could howere, scratch or SLIGHTY bend the end of the aixiz module, as to make it slightly deformed and very snug in place when slid into the host....this would help keep it in place while still maintaining good contact.

Thats a very good idea sir! i wouldnt have thought to deform the back of the aixiz module "i dont dare do the front lol" to keep it real snug.

i was trying to go for a non glue involved method and this may be the ticket... if only these werent covered in nickel... then i could just add a little solder to one side, very thinnly and it would do the same thing.

I'll give it a shot on some already bent "from pressing" aixiz modules. wish me luck!

I am SOOOOOOOO sorry to have to say this... ALL of the 6x's and 8x's came in today, and as you all know, i keep flexdrives stocked here at my workplace... well seeing as most of the parts are here it was time to build the blu-ray burners!!! so i go about my bussiness, and i proceed to test each driver, and set current...

Low and behold EVERY one of my drivers were non-functional.

They are being shipped QUICKLY straight to modwerx for replacement.

YOU ALL HAVE MY WORD I WILL COMPENSATE FOR YOUR WAIT.

This should only add 4-6 days to the wait time...

If anyone wants proof for some reason i will post my messages with Andrew from modwerx. He can attest that this is indeed the situation.

Thank you all for you understanding... each of you who are effected will be directly compensated with a gift of some sort ^_^ dont worry it wont be crappy lol.

Any ?'s just PM me

every single one is non functional? thats strange.....

last night i thought i had a broken flex drive (setting the current for these kits)

but it turns out i wasn't paying attention and had the test load on the power input, and the battery hooked up to the diode side.....so the multimeter wouldn't read anything just stayed at 0
