Here is a Kryton Groove 445 build. It feels solid and nice. I build it myself. Kit from Dave(daguin). It has a groove drive. I set the power to around 720mw for a good runtime and long healthy lifespan. I heat shrinking the driver but open a hole for adjusting current. So just simply screw down the head and you can adjust the power from 540-1000mA. I believe the switch is fine I used it for a while and no sign of melting down. So sad it has to go, my first 445 laser, but need money. It will go for $150 with pp and shipping (US only).

You are measuring your laser too close to the LPM Sensor...
Take another reading with the Laser at least 6" away to be
sure your sensor is not picking up radiated heat from the
head...

If the switch gives up (some have proven stronger than others), the new owner can just PM me.

Anselm is building me a batch of re-enforced switches that are proving to be just fine.
He is also building more so they will be available to others who are getting the Krytons with the original switch.

I'll send a replacement to the new owner or they can pay for shipping the laser to me, and I will replace it for them

Peace,
dave

^^^That's what I call product support. Not that you need it, but +rep.

@wee40811 - I wish you would have posted this with the other thread... very tempting deal, good luck with the sale.

I was not going to sell it, but I had to. I took the pic yesterday but I'm too lazy to change the date on the tag. It took me some time to decide to let it go.
