I would like to have the pro versions in stock and able to ship out the moment an order is placed. At least that's what I'm working towards. At this time, they are only going to be available on a order basis. As to how many are available, I have a total of 90 thermopiles to build into meters.

For those that ordered the Lite versions, this will be an open ended offer as I have taken so long to assemble and ship these meters. Just my way of saying I'm sorry and I value you all as customers.

my radio shack has not had any plastic enclosures in stock for the last 3 weeks. I have ordered some and am waiting for them to arrive. Other than that, all the components are assembled and waiting to go into the boxes.

I have a hard time finding the right enclosure on digikey. Needless to say I took a road trip to go visit SightFX and stopped at his radio shack and have a few enclosures to finish a few of these. Meanwhile, I've ordered already teh enclosures I needed and they should be here soon.

Could everyone that purchased one of these meters from me send me an pm detailing exactly what it was that you got. I had so many after the order requests that I'm having a hard time figuring out what is what. Any special requests. I will spend all day tomorrow building all of these and I need to know what special work needs to be done.

I was under the impression that the Lite model did not/could not
have a Zero Offset... (mine don't)..
Did I miss something...

If there is a way of adding the Zero Offset to the Lite version...
could I get the info to modify my Lites...

What's zero offset?

The Kenometer Lites that I have do not stabilize at an exactly Zero
reading (without a Laser beam on the Sensor)... depending on the
differential temperature between the sensor surface and the sensor
heatsink...
So ii your reading is.. let's say 3mW with out a beam and 127mW
with the Laser's beam on the sensor then the actual power of your
Laser is 127-3=124mW...

With a Zero Offset circuit you can re-zero the "3mW" reading back
to Zero before taking a reading of your Laser...

But I'm not sur if this is possible with the Kenometer Lite...

the Kenometer Lite did not stock come with a Zero offset since the price was so low. It is a simple matter of adding a potentiometer with a few resistors on the output to offset the reading down to Zero. Unless you pay for the upgrade (takes me more time to build and for parts) the Zero offset is not included.

If you would like to find out how to do the offset so that you can do it yourself, I would be happy to provide the information.

Also, if you would like your meter shipped with the aluminum enclosure, I will be more than happy to send the enclosure and you can do the cutouts and modification to the enclosure to make the meter fit. Lazer has agreed that I will assemble the electronics portion and ship the enclosure unmodified and he will mount the electronics into the enclosure. This saves me the work of having to modify an enclosure that I wouldn't have ordinarily used for the meters but he wanted. It also means his meter will ship a little sooner since I don't need to do the modification to the enclosure.

don't even ask for the top one's enclosure. That was too small and had to have waaay too much modification done to it to make it fit..... soo much so, that the front left side doesn't even have a screw holding it closed... Had to cut the screw recepticle off in order to fit the head inside.
