Hi guys,
I'm having a private PM silent auction in a pair of one-of-a-kind lasers as a fundraiser to help dig me out of a hole.

A pair of exotic lasers.

First, a 600mW 445nm Blue laser built into the Kryton Smooth Pearl:

That image was from when it still had a $300 ggw installed. The new blue is incredibly brighter.

And a 200mW 642nm laser (500mW apparent red brightness) built into a beautiful polished fire engine red Kryton Groove

These are the nicest and most unique lasers I could dream up. Also available is a 1.2W 808 focusable.

Bid individually or as a group.

please PM me with a bid if you wish to!

one might think but until we test these new ones fully we are not sure. Still very nice hosts i am still sing project boxes and block of aluminum as my hosts, but im a labby guy.

Is that 445nm a new diode out of the DLP projector?
So have you already tested it for some hours of burning time? And 600mW of optical power is unbeliavably strong I thought it would need a bunch of correction optics to get a nice beam.
Can you show us maybe a beamshot from it?

A silent auction....pretty cool. I might consider doing one for my gas laser stuff too.
Question.....what is the duration of the auction? I assume that after a given amount of time, the highest bidder wins the item. Is there a reserve in these 'silent' auctions?
A bit of clarification would be helpful.
Cheers!

 While I'm new here, and I realize my opinion has no real value amongst long time members, I think this idea is crapola!!

I've already purchased two nice lasers from respected board members, and while my quest is strong for more, 55 years on this rock have taught me to watch where you dive.

In other words, your lasers look Awesome to me, but I have no idea as to their real worth, and your vague "auction" terms leave me feeling like Helen Keller alone in the jungle at night.

All that being said - Good Luck!:yh:

It figures someone would post something like this while my disposable income is low! Hey wingrider, you make a good point but I've had good experiences so far with these people.

he's too busy atm with all the new testing of the 445nm diodes ;) I guess

I agree with wingrider. I'd want to know a little more about the terms of the silent auction before I'd throw in a bid.

Hi guys, I expect the auction duration to last about 1 week. The lasers will have a 6 month warranty. The reason I'm doing it this way is because these are not commodity items like most pointers and even some gas lasers, they are very unique. The pearl host especially has gained a lot of attention in the past, but hasn't been offered for sale until now.

As far as credentials, you can see my red laser diode group buy, the first laser diode group buy as well as many other sales and informatinoal posts on plotting. GB: High power 658nm 80mW CW-240mW pulsed 5.6mm red lasers [Orders Full] [Archive] - CPFMarketPlace
This took place before LPF took off.

The diode in the 445nm laser is a 1W rated Nichia diode, purchased through ebay for $$.

Thanks for looking and for your support!

Going to keep the thread updated with running bids?

EDIT: Is this one of those "sealed-bid" silent auctions?

The current winning bids will be placed in the Original post I do reserve the right to cancel if this doesn't gain enough interest (bad economic times for everyone and all) but don't expect that to happen.
thanks!
