i got a few hosts here that i had some heatsinks made for. when the machinist drilled out the heatsinks the bit appearantly wobbled a little bit and created scratches in the aluminum. im offering them as defects at a huge discount for 25$ with free shipping. i have 2 black and 2 silver. ill also throw in one of the pcb's to fit the heatsink so all you will need is your driver, diode, and module.

i just tested these with various modules and it seems some will need to be drilled out even more for larger size modules. if you have a drill press you can probably straighten them out i just dont have time or the patience b/c ive already lost money on these. you should be able to use these either way..

1x cr123 or rechargeable version. rcr123 fit nicely in them.

hrmm... I may take these off your hands Drew...

LOL, now i find out the LPF15 coupin is back :crackup: just my luck I ordered a test-load express mail yesterday, lol.

So these hosts simply have a few scratches right? I dont see any reason NOT to buy them. I was thinking about listing them for sale... but now im curious about the scratches. Are they visible on the host, or are the scratches on the inside??

the scratches are just on the insides of the heatsink. the host and outside of the heatsink are fine.

i had these made for the shop but i dont want to sell them b/c the heatsinks werent great quality. considering the host was about 12$ and the heatsinks were ~16$ im losing money. theyre still fine for use just not what i usually want to sell.

Received my silver host today. Drew has high standards, which is awesome. The scratches are minimal and will not be visible when the build is completed.
I'm suprised these haven't all sold by now.
